I want to use the Glimmer system, but I don't have a Spellbinders Platinum Machine, can I use it with a different one?

Yes! Our Glimmer Machine is compatible with other die cutting machines. The machine must have at least a 6" wide platform and cut steel rule dies in order to work with Glimmer.

Can I use any dies with my Glimmer machine?

You can use MANY metal wafer-thin dies (0.8mm thick) with the Glimmer Hot Foil System. Some dies do not translate well to foiling and you will need to experiment. You may need to use extra cardstock to elevate as standard dies are thinner.

Can I use my Couture Creations Foil with the Glimmer Hot Foil System?

Yes, you can. You can also use Foil Quill foils and Gemini Foilpress foils. These are all thermal foils, which means that heat activates the foil to transfer the image onto your substrate.
