Best mini itx case
I bought this to replace a fractal node 202. I liked the original node, but hated having to take the entire chassis apart for maintenence. The Ridge improves upon the original design in several ways. Instead of a monolithic frame it can be taken apart on each side. Top and bottom of the case have 4 screws, and the sides have a captive screw and pop into place. Super easy to access the inside of the case if you make a mustake or need to access the mobo. I HATE the new middle gpu bracket! I had to remove it 3 times before getting my gpu to seat properly. Im not sure if its supposed to but my case did not include an external power cable. Luckily i had a spare. The form factor can be intimidating, but i really like the new design, and it was a very easy build overall. For comparison, i also own a Cooler Master NR200, and found this easier to assemble.

Rigid, high quality, easy to build, lots of cooling options.
Incredible case. It was first time for me to build a PC and it was such a pleasant experience. Case feels rigid and let's you build comfortably. If your hand grow from the right place -- you can finish your build in a hour easily, maybe faster. good stuff. recommended. Temperatures are ok as well if you're not putting 5090 in there and you are using 100W TDP processor. In my case, i was using Minisforum BD790i X3D board. It comes with the pre-installed processor and cooler. Also, the airflow of this cooler goes out of the pc case, which is amazing. Noise levels are great and CPU temps in my case are below 85 C. My RTX 5060 stays at 65 C.

Best looking console/HTPC style case that can fit some larger GPU's
This review is for the Fractal Ridge ITX case in black color. I purchased this case specifically for its looks and horizontal configuration ability. I think it looks great and matches my other black components on my TV console table. The white components inside the case really isn't noticeable at all outside of the case. Component installation is very easy and straight forward. Just follow the directions for the power supply (SFX form factor only) and GPU installation. For GPU size, I recommend no more than a 2.5 slot thick GPU to keep the stock preinstalled case fans. The two case fans are 140mm and standard thickness. To use a 3 slot GPU you would be limited to a slim fan or no case fans and cooling performance would be affected. The GPU in my pictures is the Asrock 9070 XT Steel Legend and is 2.5 half slots thick. The case fans are right on top and touch the GPU shroud, but it keeps the GPU cool. I do strongly recommend removing the top of the case, then remove the preinstalled fans, install the GPU, then carefully slide the fans down into position and screw them in and make sure they are intaking air (blowing air onto the GPU). Note the included 140mm case fans have a lip and are specially designed to fit this case as intake so that the fan blades do not rub against the frame. If you replace the fans, you may have to use spacers to prevent the fan blades from touching the frame. Do note that the CPU heatsink is limited to 70mm in height. This severely limits CPU choices. For me I found that my Ryzen 7 7800X3D would overheat and cause a system shutdown. My Ryzen 5 8400F gets really hot, at 95 Celsius but does not shutdown. My advice is to stick with Ryzen 5 or Core i5 series for this case. There is room at the top of the frame where the CPU is that can hold an 80mm fan but the screw holes are smaller than typical fan screws, so I'll have to see if I can find some screws that will fit. The side panels work on either side. I chose to have the CPU facing down and the GPU facing up to give better cooling for the GPU. Having the CPU facing up did not make a difference to the CPU temps. I think it really needs 80mm fan in CPU chamber. If this case was slightly thicker/wider to accommodate taller CPU coolers and 3 slot GPUs with the standard thickness side case fans, then it would have been the perfect small form factor build with no compromises. Due the compact layout, the thermal performance limits your component options. For me this works out because I'm using this PC with a 4k TV and gaming performance isn't bound by the CPU at 4k resolution and my 8400F is perfectly reasonable. I also recommend getting a motherboard with overclocking features not for overclocking but for the voltage controls to lower or limit the CPU voltage. I do recommend this case overall if you're looking for a home theater or console style case that looks great and fits in with other components. There just aren't too many options that have the looks, price, and compact size. Do note that there are some component choice compromises due the compact size.

Fractal created a winner
Been in IT for over 20 years and this has been one of the most thoughtfully designed cases I've worked inside of. They didn't just rivet everything into place, it's actually screwed together and can be torn down pretty much completely. Cable management is thought out and serves it's purpose well. The PSU mounting solution keeps everything very tidy and gives the exterior a pretty nice minimal feel all around. I liked working with it so much that I ended up getting a Torrent (also by Fractal Design) for my personal build. Again, another very nice case to work in. Fractal seems to consistently offer very well designed and manufactured cases. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for an ultra-compact performance build in a heartbeat.

Nice case
Nice, well built, solid case for a living room gaming/htpc console style build. I wish they would stop including cheap fans with case or offered the option to buy with out fans. I always upgrade the fans first, upgraded case fans to Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax black fans cause i want QUITE & max airflow! Looking forward to finishing this ps5/ps6 killer.

Great looking SFX case that is not too hard to build in.
Love this case, looks so nice, was not too hard to build in, but I would recommend that if you are new to pc building, not to undertake a small form factor build. The biggest thing is to go to the company's website and make sure all the parts you want fit before buying this. Still, great, was able to get a good amount of cooling and put extra small want to say 60 mmpcs dfans, for extra cooling. My use case for this was a media center pc with some older hardware I had, but it works great.

Great stylish small case
I've loved it. Things worth noting: you can do it horizontal or vertical but it requires moving the feet so it's not like you set it up once and can just turn it over at will (I mean you can but it's not as nice). It IS tight so make sure you've checked your measurements against what you're putting in there. Mine has a 3080ti and it's snug with the default fans. I did pick up an AIO system but I don't think I can make it work. It's not just the width of the upper compartment but getting all your wires and tubes across inside. It gets really busy really quick. That said I still give if 5 stars. I knew it was small, that's part of why I picked it and I've had nothing else to complain about. Everything feels sturdy and good quality. I'd buy another case from this brand.

Easy to build hard to cool CPU.
If you want to put 5090 FE + 9800X3D and horizontal mount this thing, you are going to have a bad time. Putting these high-end components in this machine is a fool's errand. Unless you have 5"+ clearance on every side and an open back of your entertainment center, you will peg this thing and thermal throttle immediately. This is basically the only case that would fit inside my IKEA BRIMNES TV due to its depth, and it barely fits in there. I had to place it on top of the media center and that defeated the purpose of this for me IMO. I would have gone for a bigger machine that could fit an AIO if I knew I was going to have to resort to this. This case was a joy to build in. Easy to tear apart and put back together quickly. It's relatively cheap so if you are looking for something that is small and packs a punch, just don't swing for the fences in terms of performance and prioritize low-power components and you'll be fine. This thing has the best aesthetic for a console PC in the entire market IMO. Also be aware that the ASUS ROG STRIX X870 GAMING WIFI does not support front panel audio so if that is a deal breaker, then look past that motherboard. Again-- great case. Easy to build, but hard to get your CPU under 95 unless you mount vertically or in an ambient space. Don't try to shelve this thing in a cubby or it will fight you.

Nice "console" like itx case
Nice case, good room for larger video cards, decent air flow. I chose the thermal right ap120 in an am4 itx board and a 6700xt. Read the instructions before you build to avoid confusion or headaches, its easy to build in if you take out the correct screws

Casi excelente...
