I’ve tried a lot of BBQ rubs over the years, but Fire & Smoke Society Sweet Preacher BBQ Rub has quickly become one of my favorites. The balance of sweet and savory is spot on. It has a rich brown sugar sweetness up front, followed by a nice blend of spices that gives the meat a deep, smoky BBQ flavor without being overpowering. I’ve used it on ribs, chicken, and even pork shoulder, and every time the results were fantastic. It creates a beautiful bark when smoking and caramelizes nicely on the grill. Not overly sweet. It’s a solid pork rub.
I’ve been bouncing from rub to rub trying to find one that the whole family likes. This is the one. It’s not spicy like others that we have tried. Smokey flavor with a hint of sweet.
