Lion Brand Yarn - 24/7 Cotton - 6 Skein Assortment (Ocean)

Colors are gorgeous and vibrant and it’s so soft. I love the shirts I made, they’re lightweight and cotton and cool and soft but still I could use tighter stitches to make it not see-through. Drapes nicely on both a tank top and a larger cover-up style shirt. Maybe slightly more green than what my screen showed, but given the color names that makes sense (ex: jade, lol), so if your screen makes all of them look very blue, note that 3 are definitely in the green color range. Which was actually a nice surprise and very pretty, but just something to be aware of.

Good stitch definition, no splitting at all. Almost no stretch to it so if you are more used to acrylic this might bother you. It is not the softest, but that’s why the other qualities are so good. These colors are gorgeous…although 3 are more blue green while 3 are more true blue, so I decided to use them separately.

I really like this yarn and will probably check out more from Lion Brand now. The colors go well together but mostly I love how clean it is as far as there is no fraying of the yarn and stitches are well defined in appearance because of it. The clean stitching also makes it great for beginners because you can really have a good view of where to put your next stitch. I am sure I will be buying more of this brand for other projects.

Beautiful color combination. Worked up pretty easily for a baby blanket. Some small splitting of the yarn I had to watch for, but very pleased with the result.

There is a pattern in the Spring/Summer #24 Nora magazine that I’m going to use this for, making a gradient from bottom to top using this yarn. It’s soft and easy on the hands. The pack also saved me from having to put the yarns together myself. I’ll definitely be buying some of the other kits as I have a variety of skirts made from recycled sari fabric that these colors are vibrant enough to go with them and enough sheen to them to not detract from the sheen of the silk.

This is a strong yarn, which seems to be braided instead of twisted. Consequently, it doesn’t split, which is very nice. The colors are beautiful. I only wish that I could mix it with my other yarns, but the texture is too different.
