Outstanding Taste Makes This My Go-To Protein Powder
After trying numerous protein powders over the years, I keep coming back to PhD Nutrition's Diet Whey in Salted Caramel - and there's a good reason for that loyalty. The taste is genuinely exceptional. The salted caramel flavor is rich and indulgent without being overly sweet or artificial tasting. It's one of the few protein powders I actually look forward to drinking rather than just tolerating. Even mixed with just water, it tastes great, though it's absolutely delicious with milk. Mixability is another strong point. It blends smoothly without clumping, whether you're using a shaker bottle or blender. No gritty texture or stubborn lumps that refuse to dissolve - just a smooth, creamy consistency every time. Having experimented with many different brands and flavors, I can confidently say this stands out in a crowded market. The combination of great taste and easy mixing keeps bringing me back, even when I've tried to switch things up with other products. The only minor consideration is that it's positioned as a "diet" protein, so if you're specifically looking for a mass-gaining formula, you might want to check the macro profile against your goals. For anyone seeking a protein powder that doesn't compromise on taste while delivering quality nutrition, this salted caramel flavor is hard to beat. It's become my reliable staple for good reason.

Salted caramel, really nice flavour.
Gorgeous flavour. Is much better using a nutribullet with ice, so much nicer and no chalkiness. Says on various sites can use milk, water or both so have tried each. I used Oaty milk which was nice but to be honest there’s not really any dif in flavour if u use water and u are cutting out calories that u don’t need. My one criticism is the packet says 31 servings but the advert says 40 which is naughty.

Suggestion for those who find it bland.
I've been ordering diet whey for a while now and I love the salted caramel and belgium chocolate, although i've yet to try their other products. People who say it's bland, thats true if you're only mixing it with water, people also say it doesn't fill them, this again (for me) is true if I use one scoop with water, if i use two scoops it does fill me. From time to time I mix it with oat milk and will use one scoop, this not only tasted great but becomes very filling, one thing to note is that it gets thicker if i use the recommend amount of liquid, so I usually add extra oat milk, although half oat milk and half water would probably solve the thickening issue and still allow it to taste great. But this is where I think alot of the other reviews differ. For me, if I use oat milk the reviews about great taste and filling is spot on, on the other hand if i only use water, the reviews about it being bland and not filling is also true. I recommend people expirment with oat milk and water, maybe try 75% water and 25% oat milk (i use oatly), from there, adjust the ratio until you find a mixture that suits you.

Really nice flavours.
It's my favourite flavour, I mix mine with 100ml of no added sugar almond milk, and bottled water; it mixes better and has the perfect flavour. I now have it on the subscribe and save now so I won't run out. Highly recommend it.

Excellent Flavour!
I've had a few of these types of shakes before, and they've often tasted mostly of powder with a slight hint of the advertised flavour. You often need to add milk for the taste to be bearable, but I haven't had to with this. I got the salted caramel as I often have a huge sweet tooth and want to curb this. I would say it tastes just like the Friji Salted Caramel Milkshake, which is exactly what I needed to appease my sweet cravings. I also added two ice cubes for a colder shake. If you're not big on sweet and sickly I'd suggest another flavour; otherwise, it's a great choice!

Thick but grainy
Usually use MyProtein which I can’t fault but tried this one for quick delivery a deal on price. Tried mixing with correct quantities and it was nice and thick but grainy. Tried again with more water - still grainy. Not a complete write-off if all you’re after is protein pre/post workout but if you’re fussy - it’s probably to be avoided.
