We had the BOTW predecessor book in order to complete the game as much as possible - and like it, this TOTK version does not disappoint. But it is far more than that. Unlike many years ago - there are thousands of on-line guides, articles, videos, forums, etc. that can help with gameplay without the need to buy any book. So in that sense, if you are tight for cash, then no book is needed. But these books are more than that - with many gorgeous pictures, designs, maps, that is just a joy to flick through and read even if familiar with the material. Guides are naturally present for all quests, shrines, etc. and decent quality though perhaps sticking with the official way rather than short-cuts, glitches or similar "unofficial" ways to play. The other issue - that is hard online also - is not read ahead and "spoil" the game - but discover, attempt, etc. yourself before finding out through the book (or otherwise) how/where/why something is done. Maybe even try to complete the game (unless stuck) before checking out the book. If you have the cash, the more advanced versions do come with nice things but the Standard has plenty and for the money is a bargain.

Excellent book, the guide contains all the items, recipes, weapons, armour, walkthrough guide, collectibles etc.. The books is logically ordered and has a useful index for quick lookup. Something to be careful of, is that the book doesn't like being opened for long as the method of binding doesn't allow the spine and glue to be open for long without damaging the spine. The book was well used by myself and the kids but if you're intending to keep this in a collectible state then be careful with keeping it open for too long. Highly recommended

Love, love, love this book! I have the collectors companion to BotW Inc. DLC so I knew I would want one for TotK also. This book is exactly like the first except you get all relative information about TotK and some beautiful screenshots and pictures of various maps, items, meals, enemies etc. Although on the last note, I would say the pictures are a bit oversaturated/sharp and I think this is to do with the printing. I've also marked it down one star due to two corners of the book being scuffed and one or two pages inside where you can see marks from the printer. It is disappointing as a collector, but I'm happy to keep as is as i'm too lazy to return, but I have to mark down for that. If you love the game these books really just enhance the experience with all the tips and tricks included. It also can help to dip in and out of when you want to cross reference a map, remember how to make a certain meal, or where a certain inventory item can be found.

Just love this. If you have Piggyback's guide for BoTW, just know that this has been compiled just as beautifully with 500 fantastic high quality pages. It's worth every penny to help both the completionists and those that just get stuck from time to time. I really hope it doesn't get stick for not having the detachable map, instead it has a near 100 page atlas that is logically set out and contains comprehensive detail of Hyrule, the sky above and depths below. Don't waste your hard earned on unofficial junk, this is the real deal.

This is an absolutely beautifully crafted book, with a HUGE amount of information included (more than I anticipated). This is 100% worth the money and is a must have for any LoZ fan. It's heavy, includes so many tips and tricks as well as a full walkthrough, and a list of items needed to upgrade Link's armor etc. Definitely a collectors piece.

The book itself is nice, very informative, but the photos seemed to be really contrasty and I received the book damaged from two corners
