I have use it for massaging the hair but I use a massaging motion whenever I apply all the Palmer products: Conditions,oils, Shampoos,

Can I add this product to my hair diy?

Yes. I oil my scalp with it ( just have to massage it in well because it's in a more raw form than your normal hair grease) and I add it on my hair as well.

Can this be used on dry hair?

I wouldn't. If you must, I'd use it sparingly just to add shine to the hair, not for dryness. It would make it too oily.
