Didn't Come Up
Was so excited to get these seeds. Too bad they never came up. I don't have problems like this when I purchase seeds at the local store. So disappointed. Beware if you purchase.

Waste of money!
a lot of weed seeds in this package. Weeds seed germinated better than the Petunia seeds!

Picky Petunias
After trips to the northwest, I fell in love with the Calibrachoa flowers/ grandiflora hanging in lovely flower baskets. The small petunia like blooms are magnificent and they have a great variety of colors. For the longest, they were hard to find and I had to order some by mail order. That is sometimes a crap shoot since you don't know what you will and how it will survive shipping. I tried to grow these from seeds several times, then saw why they weren't readily available. After several failed attempts, I finally found a way to get germination and seedlings. The moisture control is a major condition - thus the beautiful baskets of these in Seattle, and Portland and not Texas. This is the first spring I had results. I seeded two planters with these tiny almost invisible seeds, set the planters inside a clear plastic tote and added a bit of water to the bottom. Instructions I got before said to cover with plastic wrap and expose to sun. The plastic wrap prevented an never-ending battle with wind. So, I turned a larger, clear plastic tote over the whole thing and left on the deck. The seeds have come up and will be ready to transplant. They require consistent watering but not over soaking. I think misting these in addition to watering may improve results. These are challenging but if successful they are absolutely gorgeous!
