Celtic Paganism: A Journey into the World of the Mythology, Folklore, Spirituality, and Wisdom of Celtic Tradition Review: Great - Good read, very informative Review: Good book but sketchy QR codes - So I have a few things. I absolutely love this book and how its set up. They made it easy to go back and look at a certain part if you wish. I love that they are short some of them too thw point while others it explains everything. My only true gripe is if none of you have scanned the QR codes dont. They are a scam I scanned the one to get the wheel of the year book and it took me to a website that was sketchy but other than that its an amazing book and ill keep it and reread if.

Great Overview
This is a great overview of the Celtic Paganism. This is well written and easy to read and understand. I would recommend this for anyone looking for more information on Celtic Paganism, told in true fashion of the Celts, first person passed on from her grandfather.

From the dove she to the modern world
This book was right up my alley with my heritage. It takes you right into the magic which are the 7 kingdoms of the Celtic isles. I loved sharing about the children of Leir and more with my kids!

Not what it seems
I struggled between 2 and 3 stars. The editing and/or writing isn't what it should be, several times there are entities referred to as "Woman" only to be referred to as "his/Him" in the next sentence and then "her" again thereafter, some repeated words and lines, and overuse of the exclamation point. If you are looking for a book written by a Celtic pagan to learn about how to practice it then this isn't for you. If you are looking for a research piece that provides a summed up overview of the Celts and some information on how it lead to modern paganism(again summed up) then maybe give it a go.

Rediscovering Celtic Heritage: A Fascinating Journey into Lost History
Being of Irish-Welsh descent, I was interested in this book to learn more about the history of my ancestors and their beliefs and practices. So much lost history uncovered in this book, thanks to the author’s grandfather passing down this information and her own research cross referencing sources to fill in the gaps as much as possible, and even then a lot is still lost as much of it was squashed the conquests of the Romans and the demonization of even Celtic Christianity by the Roman church, although some threads still come through today. I found this book really interesting. There is a repeat of the 3rd test Lugh took about Karantez, first noted on page 69 and repeated on page 70; as well as his significance to the Celtic people, and the comparison of him to Apollo.

Deep and relevant
Roy has written a wonderfully vast, yet personal treatise on this most engaging and interesting topic. Her scholarship and deep interest shows through with every page. This is a wonderful, engaging, and necessary book.

AI Generated, Beware.
Update: this book is almost certainly AI slop with no human author. The author shown on this page is an AI generated image. Moreover, upon inspecting the author’s publication history, it seems they have output an inhuman amount of books in the last few years. Such prodigious output is not humanly possible. Look for yourself at the publication dates of the books by this “author.” Given the AI author image, AI images within the book, weird syntax in the book, and the rate at which this “author” publishes books, it is almost certainly AI slop. The final nail in the coffin is that all of the books by this author are “self-published,” as no reputable printing company would allow an AI author. —— I can’t find any evidence this author exists. Her image on this website is AI generated, all the images in the book look AI generated, the writing is strange at times. At best, the author is using a pen name and AI avatar, used AI to generate the images in the book, and had some AI assistance with wording. At worst, this is AI slop being sold on Amazon as human written.

A nice introduction to Celtic paganism and the history. The structure felt a bit all over the place, and frequent spelling and grammatical errors/repetition of words made it a bit difficult to read at times. I also felt the end chapter about Celtic influences on neopaganism felt a bit subjective and I would have liked more depth on this. Overall though a quick and informative dive into the Celts and their history and beliefs, with very useful sections on the festivals and deities.
