I am usually a size 6. Will a small be okay? Not sure exactly how these fit?

I wear a size 6 but I do not like certain underwear tight I did get a medium and they was a little roomie in the waist.

Are these actually 100% cotton and the elastic band is the 5%? Or is there a small percentage of something non-cotton in the fabric?

All 100% cotton and I like the band because it's wider! Prefer over the smaller band. I believe you will like.

Are these stretchy enough in front for a man to wear?

Being a woman I don't know for sure, but they should be.

Are these soft and completely Full Stretchy? Any other choices?

Between 1-10, softness is about a 7 to me. Stretchy, I give it a 6. The old Hanes was a lot better.

They run a little small; I got a large, and they are more like a medium. They’re pretty soft and durable, and they look just like the picture. They are comfortable, and the fabric isn’t super thick, so they’re breathable; the fabric isn’t too thin either, thankfully. I like the colors as well, and the colors have lasted through several wears and washes.
