Replacement...
I bought this to replace the bowl that came w/ my mixer from a wedding gift in 1978. Mixer still runs well. This bowl is much lighter in weight than the original so hopefully it will prove to last a long time too.

High quality replacement but half the cost of the name brand. Heavy and locks in very well.

Liked the handle as it helps to get the bowl off after kneading some dough. It is slightly not the same size of the original, so you have to scrape a bit more with the spatula for stiff doughs, but overall it works fine.I have an older kitchen aid

So much easier to use!
My wife loves her KitchenAid mixer but has been frustrated with having to use two hands for the bowl when baking. This mixing bowl is 100% compatible with her KitchenAid mixer and she is delighted with being able to easily install and remove the bowl with the handle. She's now baking more and I'm loving it!

Fits exactly as intended and worth the price vs Kitchen Aid brand for the same bowl. OK, so the stainless steel weight may not be the same, however performs the same.
