Love It! Best Scalp Massager I've Ever Had!
I love this!Previously, I purchased another model, but the motor in it died after only a week of use. (I did not drop it or over use it.) I got permission to send it back, but I also immediately ordered this one as my replacement. I must say, this one is head and shoulders better. This one uses a plain AA battery rather than a rechargeable lithium ion battery, and that's a lot easier for me. This one is silicone as well as the last one, so no nasty bacteria will grow on it. It's waterproof, so I take it into the shower with me and use it when I shampoo my hair. The silicone teeth seem to do a much better job of massaging my scalp than the previous one did. And, it has an automatic shut-off, which I love, because I have a tendency to overdo things. And, lastly, it's pink, my favorite color for beauty products.I have normal-to-dry hair, which is fine and thick, but I neglected it during the first year of the pandemic. I didn't shampoo and condition as often as I probably should have, and I neglected to use my moisturizing hair masks. I was also under a lot of stress. My hair rebelled by shedding more than usual. I have no bald spots, but my hair doesn't feel as thick and luxuriant as it did before the pandemic began. So, now I'm taking all the appropriate vitamins, eating plenty of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, shampooing and conditioning regularly, using a red/NIR light, and massaging my scalp twice a day to promote healthy circulation. I also got my below-waist length hair cut several inches below my shoulders, and I'm loving it shorter (but never short). It's too soon for me to tell you whether or not all I'm doing has rebooted my hair follicles or not, but I can tell you that this massager does a wonderful job. My scalp feels so much more cared for and healthy after I use it. I've even used it on the back of my neck and my shoulders. It's very relaxing. This seems to be a quality massager. I can feel the heft in my hand (but it's not too heavy to use with comfort). It just seems solid and well built. It's been ergonomically designed, so it's easy to hold. I had absolutely no problem getting the device apart to install the AA battery, and the company even includes a little screwdriver for our convenience.I love this massager, and I hope my scalp will love it as much as I do and reboot those hair follicles quickly. I want my luxuriant hair back!

Hard bristles yes, but that's what I wanted
The top review, a 3-star, said that the bristles on this brush are extremely hard, with little give. They are absolutely right, but that's exactly what I wanted - I find that most scalp brushes are too flexible to get through my thick hair or give me enough of a scratching to feel useful. This brush does the job perfectly thanks to those overly stiff bristles. They're finished nicely so the ends aren't tearing at your hair or scalp due to ragged edges - they slide through the hair smoothly. The two vibration patterns both feel nice as well. I can't speak to whether or not they 'do' anything for my scalp, but they feel good. The brush is easy to keep a grip on and maneuver around. The bristle length is also good - in addition to having thick hair my hair is also waist-length and sheds a lot, so I often loosely braid it before washing to cut down on how much shedded hair clogs the drain strainer, and even at the base of the braid I can still get through to my scalp. So, this is not a brush for sensitive scalps, but if you're like me and your hair has EATEN other brushes and you want something harder, this is a good choice!

IF YOU WANT SCALP STIMULATION
This is my second purchase of this handheld scalp massager. My old one died after one year, hence the four stars! But for that one year, absolutely BLISS!! Very stimulating to my scalp and havenโt found a better one than this! While itโs going, I accidentally click the button on the top which starts the 5 auto timer over (very annoying choice to place the button), but thatโs the only other downside about it. Gets the job done! Hair growth stimulation and easy to use!

Doubles as headache relief
Honestly I don't use this for shampoo or conditioner, I use this to treat my headaches and it works great to alleviate my pain!

Strong vibration, battery cover screws on with screwdriver
In my opinion, It has a strong vibration but I am really disappointed. I heard that scalp massages are supposed to feel good and relaxing but the silicone type fingers on this model were , to me, really hard except for the very tips. They recommend using this during your shampoo but for me that won't fix the bristles that were too hard for my taste. The bristles were so hard I couldn't glide the thing around my head, I didn't want to scratch my head so I had to pick it up and put it down in a new spot, not the massaging action I expected. It didn't even feel good for a minute. The actual silicone base, where all the bristles are attached, is flexible if you press down on it, But that didn't fix anything for me.And who makes the battery cover screw down?I suppose it was to make it childproof, I think standard battery covers take enough effort to remove. For me, the screwdown is overkill. Think about how many batteries this thing will go through with regular use. For me, not worth the effort .I used it once and decided that it wasn't worth my Duracell double A battery. So I removed my still like new battery and threw the massager in the trash. I might try one of those manual ones .

Double A battery needed not rechargeable.
Battery operated which I did not initially see when I ordered, AA battery. However after getting the product, it surprised me in how effective it was and after using two rechargeable ones which did not last two years each, decided this was the better of the three we have now ordered. Would give it a A overall.

I works. String vibrating scalp massager.
I'm not sure why this product has so many bad ratings. It does the job very well. And it's strong, too! You only need one (1) AA battery. The massager has built-in 5 - minute timer and 2 different pulse settings.People probably have an issue because they don't want to unscrew the back, but it comes with a small Phillips screwdriver. That's very convenient ๐.I bought this vibrating scalp massager because my dog destroyed my last one. That manufacturer I purchased from no longer sells it. So, I had to massager with my fingers. After massaging my scalp with my fingers, I started to pull and break my hair when rubbing my scalp, which is bad.I was reluctant to purchase this one because of the bad reviews, but I took a chance. Also, massaging was irritating to my fingertips, hence why I bought a scalp massager in the first place. I massage for 5 minutes in different areas of my scalp, which is recommended for blood flow and hair growth.

Weak Vibration, Useless
I was really excited to try this product, but sadly, what a disappointment and a waste of time and money. I don't understand how there are folks who think the vibration is so intense it hurts when it really doesn't vibrate much at all, the vibrations are too low and weak and are all located on the handle and not on the massager itself, which defeats the point if it doesn't reach there, you only feel vibration in your hand. The second vibration option is supposed to be a pulse setting but you can hardly feel that either, it just makes beep sounds as the vibration is even weaker in this setting. The silicone spikes were somewhat comfortable but also way too sharp at the same time. I like the concept of this, but this thing just doesn't really do anything. Its only plus side is that it is sturdy and easy to hold and is such a perfect size for a scalp massager, and it also includes a screwdriver (AA battery not included), but it just doesn't do what it's supposed to do, so I'm definitely returning it.

Disappointed
Received the item broken. Totally not worth the $32 I paid. I contacted the seller for a new one or refund and still has not responded. Extremely disappointed. Even when you seal it, it does not screw right.
