Crystal Clear 4K, Smart Features, and Outstanding Support!
I’ve been using the REOLINK 4K 8MP Dual-Lens Solar Security Camera for a few months now, and it has exceeded all my expectations in terms of performance, reliability, and customer support. If you’re looking for a powerful, feature-rich wireless security camera, this one is hard to beat.📸 Top-Notch FeaturesThe standout feature of this camera is its dual-lens setup, which offers an ultra-wide viewing angle without distorting the image—something single-lens cameras often struggle with. The 4K 8MP resolution delivers crisp, clear footage day and night, and the built-in color night vision is genuinely impressive. Even in low light, details like faces, license plates, and clothing are easy to make out.The camera is solar-powered, which eliminates the need for constant recharging. The included solar panel keeps the battery topped up even with moderate sunlight, making it a truly hands-off solution for outdoor security. It also supports smart motion detection with person and vehicle recognition. This reduces false alarms from animals or tree branches swaying in the wind.🔊 Two-Way Audio & App IntegrationThe built-in two-way audio is strong and clear, making it easy to communicate with delivery drivers or warn off potential intruders. The REOLINK app is intuitive and responsive, with fast notifications and simple controls for live view, playback, and settings.🎥 Reliable Playback & StorageOne of my favorite aspects is the playback feature. Recorded videos are easy to access and review via the app. The timeline view is smooth, and you can filter events by type (people, vehicles, motion), which saves a lot of time. Playback is fast and doesn't buffer, assuming you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. As for storage, the camera supports local microSD storage (up to 128GB) and optional cloud storage. I’ve been using a 64GB card, and it holds several days’ worth of clips with no problem. Local storage means you’re not tied to subscription plans, which is a big plus.🛠️ Excellent Customer ServiceREOLINK’s customer support deserves a special mention. I had a small setup issue initially, and their support team responded within 24 hours with a detailed and friendly walkthrough. It’s clear they stand behind their product and are committed to helping users get the most out of it.✅ Final ThoughtsThe REOLINK 4K 8MP Dual-Lens Solar Security Camera is a stellar investment for home security. With crystal-clear video, smart detection, solar power, reliable playback, and top-tier customer service, it hits all the marks. Highly recommended for anyone serious about monitoring their property without the hassle of wires or monthly fees.

Stable camera with a good field of view both horizontal and vertical. Detection works well.
In my opinion this is the best choice for a fixed 180 wide angle camera. Its more traditional looking as far as security cameras go so it's more obvious but it performs quite well even at night with NIR detection. Battery stays charged at 100% even with overcast and a lot of rain this May. Connecticut.... where fun comes to die and you go broke! Typical blue state.

Nice 180 but missing corners/edges and connectivity issues
A friend got the Duo 3 POE and as my property is still under construction, I don't have the wires laid out yet so I figure a solar wifi Duo 2 would work. Watched the comparison on LifeHacker and the 2 offers a higher viewing angle than the 3 which is nice but the edges do not get any detection. The way this camera is setup, it's over my garage door which the private dirt road crosses. I can see the road on both edges of the camera but it doesn't detect anything there. I know for a fact my neighbor goes to work at 5:57 every morning (he must be in the garage at 5:55) and has to drive past my driveway. My old Eufy 2c Pro would catch this so I know but the Eufy coverage is weird and terrible at the same time but that's for another review. Anyways, since I installed the Duo 2 and have a view of the road, it has yet to detect him driving past. In the grand scheme of things, this doesn't matter to me (yet) but it would be nice if the detection was like the Trackmix I have on the front side of the house. It's like give and take with Reolink products. Some are great at one thing but totally deficient on another and the other product does the opposite.I do plan on getting POE in my house and run the cables but for now, these solar cameras would have to do. I might replace this Duo 2 solar with the Duo 2 POE with flood light just to kill 2 birds with one stone without needing to run electricals to the location and I hope the POE ones would have a more sensitive detection. All that said, the worst and most egregious fault on this camera is the poor connectivity. When I fire up the app, it says "Not Connected", just the the Trackmix. It's only when I tap on the camera do I get the stream to start and that takes a while.... a LONG while compared to the Eufy.... and that's *if* it connects. I would have to give it a try again to get it going and sometimes it takes 2 or 3. What's worse is when I am in the middle of the setting, it'll lose connectivity and when I change something, it says it's not connected yet I was JUST LOOKING AT THE STREAM!!! This goes for the other Reolink camera too. I hope the POE would solve this issue and I think it will but for wifi cameras, this is very annoying to the point of almost wanting to get rid of it. Eufy may have connectivity issues but that's so rare, I don't even expect it but for Reolink, do expect connectivity issues as a greeting then you'll get to be able to stream and see what's going on. Disappointing for a brand that was recommended highly.
