Highly recommend!! and no I didn't get an offer to try it first for a positive review.
This is the best! I have recommended it to my daughter and a neighbor. It helps calm the itching, helps with her dry skin, AND helps with flea control. I'd buy not for that alone! It has tea tree oil in it and I wash her every 2 weeks. So far no fleas, on her, or in house. We live in southern central California and have tremendous flea issues here. While she still itches after being outside rolling in dirt, all it takes is getting the dirt off her skin and the itching calms right down. Her coat is gorgeous!!UPDATE: I have bought this shampoo three times now. It lasts quite a while, close to 2 months for each bottle, I still wash her every 2 weeks and she is 39 pounds. She still has no fleas!! It's the middle of summer. Her coat is so soft and gorgeous. She has no dry skin, no rashes, hardly any itching. I can not say enough good things about this shampoo!! As far as we know she doesn't have any allergies, but we have used this since she joined our family over 7 months ago.Update 2018 May-- My Aussie is now nearly 50 pounds, and still using this shampoo. She looks amazing with her soft and glossy coat. Plus we added a Terrier mix who came with her own oatmeal type anti itch shampoo. Yet she was itching and her skin was dry. I immediately washed her again with the Critter comfort and she quit itching, her dry skin went away after the second bath. Her coat is now glossy and soft as well. She has hair, not fur like the Aussie, and she is a soft coated terrier.

Definitely helped with itching. Coat left shiny and clean, easy to rinse out.
My border collie has sensitive skin and a dairy allergy. We own and operate a dairy farm. :/ It is almost impossible to completely eliminate all access to milk. This shampoo helped alleviate the CONSTANT itching and chewing she would keep us awake with at night. I can still tell when she gets into a puddle of milk or something, because she has a reaction, but this shampoo helps. It has been an effective treatment to alleviate the itching. I love that it's safe, and gentle. It does not smell bad and has no odor that lingers, at least that was noticeable to us. It is a great value compared to other similar products and works well. My daughter has a pitbull mix with skin issues, and it has dramatically helped her pup too. The only pitfall for me is the frequency it needs used to remain effective. I don't know how that compares to other similar products, but I'm assuming others need to be used often as well, so that would also be inconvenient for us. Still, we feel better using this rather than drugs or chemical products. I did not try the lotion, but would probably recommend that to use in between baths since the shampoo does work well. My pups coat was shiny and clean, no residue. Rinses out easy, better than any other shampoo I have tried, making bath-time shorter so that was nice. :)

Love This -- It Works for Me and Rex!
Good stuff, highly recommended. I cannot keep my lab rescue Rex out of the water so he gets washed too often and has dry skin with some itchy (hot spots) that are a problem. So the dreaded cone goes on Rex when we are not home (so he does not scratch himself bloody). We were both miserable. After about 3 baths in 3 weeks with this stuff, Rex has stopped itching and is starting to heal. The cone is gone for now. Make sure that you dilute it, the 8 ounce bottle concentrate makes about 40-50 ounces. I Googled the ingredients and they seem to be mostly natural and relatively expensive to buy on your own: Tea Tree oil has antiseptic qualities and the smell helps deter bugs and fleas. Shea Butter comes from the shea nut found in Africa and helps heal small and skin cracks and contains cinnamic acid which helps protect against UV rays, Sunflower Oil has more vitamin E than any other vegetable oil, Allantoin is extracted from the Comfrey plant and sooths irritations and promotes tissue growth, Panthenol (Vitamen B5) is found in skin and hair products and adds moisture and makes the hair shiny, D-Limonene is a bio-degradeable cleaning agent coming mostly from citrus peel oil. Any way it works for me. Hope this helps with your problem child. It took 3-4 baths for me to take the cone off. Give it a try, it is cheaper than the stuff from the vet.

Very Gentle
I think this helps an itchy dog a little since it is very gentle and will not dry out the skin which would further the itching problem. I used a stick blender to mix the required amount of shampoo with the correct amount of water because I couldn't get it to mix by shaking or stirring. It's suds are nice and thick and it smells nice so I will continue to use it, at least during allergy season. Better this than Prednisone, in my opinion.

Works Great
Works well. Smells really clean. Lathers on dog really well. Dog isn't itching like he use to. I wish they offered a bigger bottle. It leaves my dog's coat soft and silky.Update on 8/26/2020I have purchased my second bottle of this shampoo and it's by far better than the expensive name brand shampoos I've used on my dog. I ran out of this brand and had some show dog quality brand shampoo (which means nothing...Lol!) My dog became so matted from switching to the high dollar stuff that I was afraid I was going to have to shave him. I got my order for Natural Dog and bathed him today with ONLY this shampoo. I started blow drying him and most all the matting came out while brushing and blowing him dry. My dog is part Bishon Frise and Havanese. He has quite the coat that is like cotton. This stuff is AMAZING for his type coat! HE IS SO SOFT AND TANGLE FREE!!

It Works!
Bought this because my Labra-Aussie was scratching and scratching. Gave her several GOOD brushings and a couple of Furminator brushings before her bath. (Short version of a long story -- she was given away while I was in the hospital, but 3 years later we were reunited... YEA!!!) It looked like no one had brushed her in those 3 years...not dirty or matted, just way too heavy undercoat and top coat needed work. Anyway, we got that done and into the bath she went. I didn't think that 6 capfuls to 1 cup of water was going to be enough (she's about 55 lbs with medium length fur). Amazingly it did and it got her really clean... and her fur... oh, her fur... super, super soft. Soooo nice to pet. But the important thing is that she has stopped scratching about 90%... and that's a lot! So yes, I will recommend this shampoo. Next, I am going to try it on my cat.

Healing and soothing for the itchiest of dogs
My Labrador mix puppy had been biting and scratching herself raw, to the point where she was bleeding in a few spots. I tried so many different things to relieve her of this discomfort but nothing was working that well. I tried medicated anti-itch conditioning spray from the vet as well as some steroid tablets they gave her, soothing shampoos, and allergy medication, but my puppy still scratched almost constantly. I was so worried she was going to get an infection. I searched for healing shampoos and this is the shampoo that came up. After reading several reviews I decided to buy it and pair it with warren londons hydrating butter for dogs. After her first bath with this shampoo accompanied by the lotion she stopped scratching completely, well except for those occasional itches that every dog gets. She is now healed up and her skin and coat are beautiful and soft. I also want to mention that a week after her bath she sat in an ant pile and got bit up pretty bad so she was back to scratching, but after another bath with this shampoo and lotion her skin healed very quickly and was back to no more scratching.
