Excellent item!
I decided this summer to buy a new air conditioner, and my choice was TURBRO Finnmark 8,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner. It was a smart purchase and I am very happy about it. The heat this year was becoming unbearable, now my family can sleep well. The air conditioner is really very practical, you can move it with wheels, it's small and doesn't take up much space, and most of all it cools my whole apartment. Smart purchase

LIFE SAVER!! Worth every single penny
I am so happy I bought this unit. It wasn’t cheap, but I promise it’s worth every single penny! Our AC is super old and hasn’t been keeping up when it’s 90+ outside, and I can’t sleep when I’m hot. After a couple of miserable nights I decided to look for a solution - and I was lucky enough to find this! It keeps our bedroom nice and cool and comfortable. I wouldn’t be able to sleep without it. Only downside is that it does draw a lot of power so we’ve kicked the breaker a few times. Still worth it, though!

Stopped dehumidifying in AC mode, unit not draining.
Stopped draining in AC mode after 30 days. Cool air is coming out of unit, but not enough to cool small bedroom. Room very humid. Not happy that I cannot return. As a senior who cannot tolerate the heat, I am very dissatisfied.

The unit worked well for 1 small room,
This portable AC unit worked well, but to cool off a large room 15X15 it would only lower the temp a few degrees. Yes this would work but not great!

It’s amazing
This machine is wonderful. It produces cool air in a speedy manner. It doesn’t make that much noise and it’s super easy to install. It’s amazing.

It's okay
I'll try to do a fairly short & sweet (for me) review: Positives: 1) It's cheap, and shipped quickly. That's why I bought it. It was the least expensive version available (presumably it's the same overseas manufactured, cheap portable AC unit you will find under various branding) to order that would arrive withinin 2 days while I wait for parts to arrive for the central AC unit. 2) It works fairly well. I'm using it in an upstairs room that I use as an office. The temperature in the landing outside of the room was 98 degrees yesterday at it's hottest point, the office with the AC unit in it (which is 12x12) temp was ~79-82...so cooled by roughly 20 degrees. That's not bad. This took a bit of work, which I'll discuss in the negatives, but as far as I'm concerned that's an acceptable result for what it is, and what it cost. 3) It's small, relatively sleek, and relatively quiet. No, it's not QUIET. It's an air conditioner. There's a high speed fan and a compressor running. It's going to make noise. However, when on low fan it's not so noisy that it interferes with voice coms (i.e. phone, zoom meetings, etc) Now, the negatives specific to this unit: 1) It's finnicky. Sometimes the compressor takes a while to kick on. Basically every time you turn it on, you wonder if it's broken. Kinda wish I'd have paid attention to the other comments about this before I ordered, but it was kinda an emergency and it got here quickly so I'm cool with it. So far, it eventually works....but since it's August I doubt that will be an issue since the thing will be running 24/7 anyway. Hopefully it doesnt blow up. 2) The remote is useless. It needs a direct LOS to the top of the unit to function. So if you have it elevated (which you will need to do if you live in 90 degree weather, so that the air actually blows ON you) and are seated? Wont work at all. 3) It's somewhat tricky to "aim" the airflow. Basically you can configure it to blow mostly straight, or 45 degrees to the right. If you order this design, try to put it somewhere that it's convenient to turn the unit entirely when necessary. Negative to the design of the type of unit: 1) Portable air conditioners are just inferior to window units. I knew this going in, and would have just gotten a window unit if my HOA was not a PITA. If you are considering the two types, go with a window unit unless there is a really good reason not to. 2) Single hose portable air units are even less efficient than dual hose portable units. If you are ordering for a more permanent need than I was, and live in as hot of a climate as I live in, and can't do a window unit? Make sure it is a dual hose model. 3) INSULATE THE EXHAUST HOSE. Let me say this again: INSULATE THE EXHAUST HOSE. This unit did not work at all until I ordered an insulated sleeve for the exhaust. Works pretty well with that 30 dollar addition, so if you are ordering this go ahead and add a 6" hose insulation wrap to your cart. Summary: Not upset with the order, but not particularly happy with it. 100% Derek Smalls, luke warm water opinion on it.

Good ac portable
This portable air conditioner is fantastic unfortunately my central air conditioner broke and I used this portable one. It has excellent working potential and can cool a fairly large room you can take it from room to room and it comes with a water drain hose. a pipe where hot air comes out of the window

Not durable AC unit
Not recommended, failed after 1.5 year of light usage. Unit cooled well while working, but thermostat was sub-par. A massive refrigerant leak happened causing icing and unit is not inoperable.

Exceptional cooling!
There weren't a lot of reviews so I took a big breath and ordered it anyway. It absolutely exceeds my expectations. First I'll mention the downside, you can hear a soft whirring when the compressor is working. It might bother some people but it doesn't bother me, it's barely audible. The upside, WOW!! This little a/c set at 75 degrees makes the livingroom where it is installed cold not cool. That cold air drifts to the other end of my one bedroom, 65 year old apartment more than tolerable, I can now use a fan on low in my kitchen to keep cool and also when sleeping in my bedroom. Everything during installation snaps in place. Since it's a garden apt with unconventional window dimensions, I had to cut one piece of the window piece shorter but it was no big deal. I'm a senior that has no help, and had absolutely no problems with the installation and set up. I've been using it almost a month and have had no issues. I highly recommend it.

Works well
Works well for one room, approx 150 sq', but noisy. Quickly cools.

It is 1990s design and pretty inconvenient.
In terms of cooling, yes it worth 350 bucks but how it is being installed and handled the cooling and return pipe is from 1990s . Unless you have a drain line dedicated you have to keep emptying a bucket. If this repeats with that density I might return them.
