It was fine to begin with, I noticed it was becoming increasingly less accurate. I would have to keep turning it up to reach 24 degrees C. until today, it just failed completely, thankfully, I have an automatic alarm system to notify me of a drastic temp drop and have a backup heater. I would like a refund for this item as I think it should last a lot longer than 6 months.

Totally reliable.

I bought this for a temperate tank because my house is unheated and during the winter months room temperatures can bottom out at 10-11oC (50-51.8 F). I basically just wanted to have the heater at its lowest setting to maintain a minimum winter temperature of 18-21oC (64.4-69.8 F). During the summer months I would fully expect the heater to be pretty much permanently off.Unfortunately, even at the lowest dialled setting this heater is maintaining a temperature of ca. 22.5 C (72.5 F), which is higher than I need.Other than that the product build quality seems very good and I would have no complaints if I was running a normal tropical tank.

Month into using this and its doing exactly what it needs to do, will be getting another one for another tank soon!

This item is great at what it sells itself for, heating, very simple to use, light shows up when it's heating up, and off when it's at temperature.Heating my shrimp tank up nicely to approximately 26C. It's just a shame to have it installed diagnolly, don't get me wrong I understand that it will heat up more water that way, however it's just hard to disguise in the background.
