Good product
The work we'll. Especially since I can take the blocks apart and store them easily. In an apartment I don't have room for a full size board. I bought three boxes and assemble as many blocks as I need.

Snap together and go!
Quick to assemble and place the item on to pin for blocking. Easy to use and works great. Sturdy enough for my use, but if you are blocking something that requires a lot of pulling, I recommend ordering a thicker mat set. For my uses though, it is perfect!!

Great deal, works well
This set is a great deal - craft stores have 1ftx1ft blocks for over $10, so this set of 9 blocks is a steal. The only downside is that a 3ftx3ft square is still small for some of my projects (baby blankets, apparel, etc.). I love that it came with pins included, and the tape measure is a nice added bonus. I am seriously considering purchasing another set just to add square footage to my blocking projects...

Perfect for the job!
I used the product for blocking 2 crocheted granny squares. The blocking squares were easy to assemble to achieve the desired size. The kit came with a tape measure which was very handy. The pins were easy to use to ensure a perfect size and shape for the squares being blocked. The pins could be placed exactly where needed in the foam block. Some of the other kits available have pre-drilled holes for wooden dowels that limit the size of the squares being blocked.

Blocked three 12 in knitted blocks overnight!
Blocks go together easily and I was able to change the orientation from a square to rectangle to accomodate my project. A little thinner than more expensive blocks but worked beautifully. Pop apart and go back into the box for the next use. I had all the pins I needed to block three 12 inch blocks that will go together as 1/2 of a baby afghan. This is a complete set for blocking your project and would make a great gift.

Connect easily and more importantly, stay connected while you work
This my first time purchasing and using foam for blocking crochet/knit projects. I found these very easy to connect and they stay connected while you work. So far, they seem very sturdy and definitely make it easier with the measured grid pattern. My only concern is that 9 blocks are not enough for larger projects (afghans etc.) I need to see if I can order additonal blocks and if they are cut to auto connect to extend the full board.

Nice Quality with Measurement Lines
Very nice quality mat for blocking my knit work. I like the fact that the blocks have lines. If you try to assemble by placing one block partially along another the lines may not match. Blocks are numbered and should be placed in order for best results. One of my blocks came without a number, but it was easy to figure out since the others are.

Got these last week delivery was earlier by a week Used them for the 1st time 2 days later for jacket for hubby which covered the 9 pieces (need another box) because the sleeves & York was in one piece I used the play mates I was using before so Iโll be getting another box. Iโve found that using these blocking mats are so useful because your work come out neater & straighter which makes the garment look. After all the hard work youโve done knitting it. It looks more professional when sewing together & I feel pride with the finest garment. Iโm a perfectionist, so when I see any mistake I undo the work itโs more work but canโt cope with wearing it or if itโs a gift for someone I canโt cope knowing wear the mistake is. Iโve done knitting for many years but stoped for about 10 years but my son with his 1st baby asked me to knit a jacket as he was so small so for the last 6yrs I got back into knitting for our grandson & granddaughter. Now Iโm knitting larger items for the family I thought it was the best to get blocking mats knowing the finishing look would be perfect. I would recommend getting blocking mats if you want your work perfect as it gives the garment the finishing look. Iโve used play mats before which has been ok but now Iโm even knitting for myself (which I have not for any years) I need it to look perfect otherwise I will not wear it. But the cost of getting blocking mat have the lines to guards the garment so the lines look great for the finished items. Iโve also get the pinning blocks for the garment so there will be less pins to put. Which came yesterday so looking forward to using them. I got 2 boxes so there will come in handy for larger items.

When I started knitting again I noticed on one of my patterns said to soak and block the piece before sewing. I looked around and found one at my local yarn store, but the price was $100 for 3 ft square jigsaw assembly matting. Looking around I found this one on Amazon. Firstly the price was half from the one I saw with the same specs. You get 9 one foot squares made of a sponge like material about 3/8" thick labeled and printed with 1 inch squares for easy measuring, a measuring tape and T-pins. Everything you need to block your creations. If you look at the pics I submitted (ignore color change just a different time of day when last pic was taken), you'll see the piece just completed (back of a sleeveless tunic), then I gently wash & soak them for about 20 minutes in lanolin (I use lanolin on my fine yarns, but any gentle soap will do). Gently squeeze & roll in a towel to remove excess water, never ring them out. Finally measure & pin to the exact pattern measurements onto the blocking mat. The result, a piece that will act like I had just cut fabric from a pattern. It will fit and hang as intended. I block everything now and will buy another set for longer items like cardigans, etc. Worth every penny.

Works well. Everything you need is inside. Some reviews mention a smell but these did not have a smell. I would recommend it.
