FASHION BOOMY Women's Zip Up Safari Military Anorak Jacket with Hood Drawstring - Regular and Plus Sizes

I want to start by saying; I love this jacket. You need this jacket. After reading the reviews I went with a large. I’m 5’10” and 150 pounds. It fits a bit large but I think a medium would be too short in the sleeves.The front of the jacket has some cute stitch detailing and the gold hardware makes it feel a bit more expensive. The hood is very oversized, which I like. There are working cord pulls to cinch the waist and snap buttons are oversized and fasten flatly.My cons; it’s cheaply made-some of the stitching is coming out on one sleeve, the lining is a silk like fabric but made me too hot on humid, rainy day. Speaking of rain-this is not waterproof. I think that is clear in the listing but just a reminder!This is a great fashion coat. It’s worth about what you pay and I expect I will get a couple seasons wear out of it. It has nice lines and makes me appear even taller.

I’m 5’7 1/2 and weigh 157 lbs I ordered a large and it fits snugged in the sleeve and shoulder area I usually wear a medium I’m glad I read the reviews and got a large anywho its a pretty lil jacket and I love it

I wear a Large, but several reviews have said this jackets runs small so I ordered XL. It arrived, and XL is actually 1X, which anyone who knows how women's clothing sizes work, knows is not the same as an XL. I tried it on and it was too big. I figured I could just pull the ties tight to make it tighter in the waist. That probably would have been fine except on one side I guess the lining is detached from the outer layer and the tie,so when I pulled it tight the lining was tighter but the outer material didn't move. Plus it was very baggy in the bag and just looked too big. I thought, no big deal, I'll get the Large. Well the Large just arrived today and it's too small! It fits more like a medium. The shoulders were tight and it couldn't quite zip. I like the jacket itself. It's a cute style, and perfect color for what I wanted. Not the best quality but I didn't expect that so that's fine. But it's very frustrating that I have 2 jackets, 1 size apart from each other and one is way too big while the other is too small. There's no size in between, so they just don't make a size that fits me. Very annoying. So if you wear a small or medium you'll like this. But if you typically wear a Large be careful about sizing up. Going up one size is really like going up 2 or 3 sizes, and there's nothing in between.

I got the LC-Black, which has the plaid inside of the hood and the jacket itself is black. The cincher is on the inside of the coat which allows you to give the coat 'curves.' Well put together. Warm enough to wear outside or inside (if you work in a colder environment). Can layer it easily. Length is good. About what you'd expect for a jacket! It has a polyester lining I believe? It's that shiny sort of material for warmth, the outside is thicker fabric. The hood part has a cute plaid pattern. For 5'6" and small frame with the small jacket sizing, it is actually somewhat big on me. Sleeve length goes past my hands. Without cinching it's boxy, so thankfully that's there. If the plaid had lined the whole inside that would have looked cuter, especially to roll sleeves (the sleeves don't look cute rolled with this jacket but won't stay pushed up because of the inner lining material). There are good and bad things about the jacket.Pros: Perfect warmth, great color, well made, versatileCons: Somewhat big for smaller framed people (there is no XS option), black material does attract lint/white fuzzies/eeeverything, sleeves length/sleeve lack of versatility, cincher strings require heavy knotting otherwise knot goes through hole, sometimes zipper snags on inner flap making it difficult and time-consuming to zip up

When this arrived today, I took it out of the packaging and I tried it on. I normally wear size 2-4 and sized up to a medium to give a little extra room for layers and such. The coat seemed to be fitting ok then, when I went to zip it up, I heard a *tink* and noticed something fall on the floor. Turns out the top fastener just spontaneously fell off (see pic). That being said, I paid less than forty bucks for a coat, so I knew what I was getting myself into.The fuzzy lining makes it feel nice and warm (it doesn't extend into the sleeves but they have their own, non-fuzzy lining) however it does tend to leave fluff in places - nothing a lint roller can't take care of. I like that there are three functional pockets, the fur on the hood can easily be removed, and I that the waist can be cinched in to give a bit of shape.I'm sure I'd be able to get a replacement due to the broken fastener, but I honestly can't be bothered. All in all, I'm pretty happy with what I've got.

SMELL - First and foremost the chemical smell is just horrid. I could smell it before I even fully opened the package, and have had a migraine ever since. Even after letting it air out for a few hours, it was just terrible.SIZE - I ordered a large, it was pretty tight, especially around the shoulders. Zipped up well enough, but I wouldn't sit wearing this. Order 1 size up, minimum.COLOR - Nowhere near as advertised. I ordered wine red, and what I got was the color of dried blood, or something if that hue. Terrible.OUTER MATERIAL - Absurdly thin, not soft AT ALL.INTERIOR LINING - Comfortable, warm, but entirely non-existent on the sleeves. If you're not wearing a long sleeve shirt, your arms will freeze because the outer fabric is so thin.LENGTH - I think this was possibly sized for children?? It's short, and the sleeves left my wrists entirely exposed. The hood is very smallOTHER - Loose threads everywhere, they were just all over the place. Pockets are small, I can't even fit my hands comfortably in there. There's a tiny thin draw string at the waist that I guess (??) is supposed to be tied, but its so short you can't do anything with it except let it dangle awkwardly.Overall very disappointed and returned immediately.

The shoulder and chest fit was perfect but it is slightly tight near the bottom. Another size up would have made the shoulder+chest too loose. The shape is strange like that but I love the cut and shape. Not too warm, just right for when the cold starts.
