This book delivers what it promises!
I didn't read much about this book when I purchased it and I was pleasantly surprised. I do not know anything about somatic therapy. Negative emotions trapped in our cells...explains so much about trauma. This therapy helps with trauma and also everyday things like concentration and focus. The book is truly interactive with charts for tracking, pages for notes, etc. Many chapters have techniques, instructions, and follow-up questions for reflecting and understanding what you experienced. The author teaches you how to recognize patterns in your behavior and explains self-regulation. This is an excellent book not only for trauma victims but also for everyone. I highly recommend it.

Great workbook
This book is filled with plenty of exercises and explanations. With lots of room for Journaling notes as you complete each of the exercises. It was helpful as the author reminds you to consistently focus on the process. Revisiting some of the traumatic experiences is no fun but I now have greater awareness of where I've been storing it in my body. A great bonus that's included is the free 10 min workout along with the yoga poses. Very helpful!

That's a great self-help book!
That's a great self-help book. You can see the author did a lot of research to write this book. The readers will find many practical exercises. I like how the writer gives insightful advice to focus on the whole being as one. After reading this book, the reader will be equipped to master their emotions better, understand the seven levels of self-awareness, and develop a better version of themselves. Great book!

Easy to read and SO HELPFUL!
This is an excellent mind/body therapy workbook for beginners. It is easy to read and it provides many self-regulation tools and practical exercises that anyone can do on their own. It covers a range of topics such as grounding, self-awareness, pendulation, titration, segmenting, sensory vocabulary, breath work, and so much more. The author is careful to caution readers to seek guidance from a licensed therapist or counselor when working on significant trauma issues. I loved this book and I recommend it for everyone. It's both a great introduction to mind/body therapy as well as a practical workbook for people who are familiar with the concepts but would like a tool to help them practice on their own.

Excellent resource!
This is a great resource. It explains so well what somatic practices are, why are they so important and gives a very easy to follow guiding the reader step by step on a number of different practices designed to regulate the nervous system so that old trauma stored in the body can be safely processed and released. It is a way of living and these practices can easily be implemented in daily routines. Highly recommend.

This is packed with nuggets that in very informative on the mind-body connection and the emotional role that plays to this.
