Many people feel that this product is not very good. So, what are the alternatives that actually work?

I only used Bosch Gel because my oven was under warranty and I didn't want to invalidate it. I was as not at all happy with the product, it definitely did not come up to scratch. As my oven is no longer under warranty I am no longer using it.

Can someone recommend an alternative and safe product to use?
