These are great syringes. Yes, the needle is tiny and will bend easily but just be careful when drawing up the insulin! It won’t bend when injected into the animal though. My cat doesn’t even feel it. She never knows what hit her. These are the same size and length I use on myself (human syringes, not these intended for pets) and I don’t feel it either. Better than the ones my vet sells.

I have to give these a five because they are clearly more comfortable for the cat. Although the difference in the size of needles from my previous needles seems so incremental, it does seem to matter to her. The needle goes in more easily for my cat who has tough skin and has been going through diabetes for four years. It is a little more difficult to read the markings than what I was used to, especially because my cat gets .25u more or less sometimes and then it gets tough to be accurate. Also, you have to be a little more (slightly more) careful not to bend the needle when poking through the cap to draw up insulin. Having said that, I feel that the quality of these needles/syringes is excellent and I don't have any concerns. Overall, if my cat is happier about getting her insulin, then I am happy.

New improved needles! I just purchased these again (I buy them every month for my cat); I noticed that the tips of the syringes are made different now. Also the barrel is thicker with much bolder markings. It's still the same size and measurements with the very thin short needle. But now it doesn't draw in a lot of air bubbles like it use to. Now very few air bubbles. I love it! Now I can give my cat a shot and I don't have to sit there forever trying to get out all the bubbles! The needle is the same and doesn't hurt the cat when I give him an injection. Good job Advocate Pet Products!

Much better price than my vet.

We are using 0.3CC with our dog already. Was our veterinary recommendation because with others he cry in pain. But they’re out of stock. This are the same sharpness, size of needle just more capacity of insulin.

Syringes are easy to use. I find that moving the plunger in and out a few times before loading the insulin makes it easier to pull the insulin into the syringe. Surprisingly, I find the use of syringes easier than using a pre-loaded pen device. My cat doesn’t react as much when I inject him.
