Setup was easy, batteries last a long time (unless put into a fridge/freezer), and accurate!
These use a single AAA battery, and depending on the location of the hub and the AAA battery used, they last a long time! The setup was easy using the app, and I do have it connected to Govee's cloud so I can access the Hygrometer Thermometer information when out of the house. The hub found the devices without issue, and I was able to add them. I like the Bluetooth feature, as these can be used without a hub, though using a hub is better for the longevity of batteries and WiFi access. I wish the hub included with this pack could have more than 10 devices connected to it, as I'd like to place more Hygrometer Themometers than just 10 of them. Another downside to the hub is that it will ONLY work with HS100s. I have one HS100 outside, then others inside the house in the Kitchen, living room, dining room, Bedroom, and Server Room (aka Spare Bedroom). I have alerts set for temperature and humidity for the server room, as my servers and network gear care a bit more about both! And I occasionally get alerts for both. As for accuracy, the Dining Room HS100 temperature matches very closely to the Thermostat that is in the same room, even though the Thermostat only does full F degrees and not partial. As for battery life, I am using Panasonic Eneloop and EBL AAA batteries. I have noticed that the EBL AAAs drain faster than Eneloop AAAs, so they need to be replaced more often and recharged. I placed one of the HS100s in my fridge, and the battery did not last long, maybe a month if I was lucky. So get the Govee Hygrometer Thermometer that requires three batteries if you want these in a fridge or Freezer. These were my first Govee devices, but I have now bought some light bulbs. I have found that Govee devices I purchased are very good quality, and I will buy more Govee devices, including more HS100s.

Great for Monitoring Home Temperatures Remotely
After 6 months of use I had one sensor lose connection, but deleting it then adding it back through the app solved the problem. I placed the temperature sensors inside, outside (protected from the elements), in the attic and in the crawl space to monitor conditions while I am away. (Then control my HVAC remotely to prevent freezing pipes, etc). The Govee system has worked great and it appears to be accurate. The app was user friendly and I am very pleased. It meets my exact needs. I expect the AAA battery in each sensor to last about 1 year.

Fantastic to Track Anything!
Govee products tend to be very good quality for the price point. The app is very easy to use. These small thermometers are great to put in fridges, freezers, rooms, attics, outside (protected), and more. Pros - Setup was a very fast through the app - Thermometers connect to phone via both Bluetooth and WiFi so you can always get a reading. - Plug in gateway works with several other devices (all thermometers) we already had. Surprise! - Easy to swap AAA batteries - Comes with numbering stickers - Temp history is very important. Many devices now have a thermometer built in but do not show history. You need to know if temps got to unsafe levels at any point regardless of current readings. Especially with food. Uses - Fridge and Freezer - Set alerts if temp gets too high. Know if door is left open, power goes out or device stops working. Move to different areas to find cold and warm spots. - Power Out - Monitor temps throughout power outage to know if your food and things are safe. - Swamp Cooler - We keep near swamp cooler to get exact temp and humidity to ensure itโs working as expected. - Automation - Use these readings to trigger automations with other Govee devices. - Cigar and Wine Storage - Keep the humidity and temps right where they need to be.

Don't bother
I purchased this because it works on wifi (the first product I purchased from this brand did on bluetooth -which didn't reach what they claimed). However, this product doesn't work either unless you are right next to it. Don't waste your money.

Seems to Work But I just set them up
Hopefully these are better quality than the original version with the oval shaped sensors. The main gateway for those was junk. I had previously submitted a question asking if the old sensors would work (the h5053) and someone responded yes. Well they were wrong. The app doesn't even recognize those ones under the new gateway. so not only did I have to buy the 6 pack but also have to go out and buy more sensors. To top that off, This unit currently can handle 10 sensors but they only sell a 3 pack for extra sensors then a 1 pack. Just sell a gateway with 10 sensors or at least just sell a 4 pack. I have hope for these. Hope they are good quality and well last more than 6 months. The app seems different like its been improved. Ill come back in 6 months and give an update

Excellent Govee support... working well!
I ordered the 6 pack of Govee H5100 Hygrometers w/ the Bluetooth/WiFi Gateway to monitor temperature and humidity in several areas of our house (crawlspace, attic, garage, outdoors, bathroom, etc). Setup went smoothly with 5 of the 6 Hygrometers... but one of the 6 wouldn't pair via Blueooth (tried repeatedly and w/ a new battery to no success). Enter the "excellent customer support" from Govee. I emailed their support email w/ the details of my purchase and failure with one of the H5100 units... including photo documentation. I had email responses within hours and a replacement H5100 on my doorstep when I awoke 3 1/2 days later. Very impressed with their customer support w/ this issue! Comments on mounting them: The H5100s come with what I would call wrist straps that can be attached to the sensors (if you want to hang them?). I opted to make my own "press fit" mounts for the sensors by cutting out wall-plate sized layers of plastic corrugated board and cutting an opening in them using the sensors as a template for sizing. I made mine from double-layer thick corrugated, which still left the "vent opening" of the sensors un-blocked (for air flow to measure temp/humidity). These "wallplates" could then be nailed to rafters and posts in my crawlspace / attic / garage etc... and they will allow me to pull out / re-insert the sensor when they need a battery change. Happy w/ my install and sensor monitoring so far. Range comments: My garage was the furthest monitoring location from my WiFi gateway location. I am successfully monitoring it through ~4 wood/sheetrock walls over a distance of ~25 feet (on the near side of the garage), but could not monitor it from the far side of the garage ~50 feet from the gateway with the equivalent of a couple extra "walls" of stored material in my garage. Overall, I am impressed by the range.

Great for information but not for automation
These were really useful for me to understand what the conditions were in my crawlspace. They were easy to set up, fun and easy to monitor, and informative. However, I did not realize that they could not communicate directly with other Govee products in the service of automation tasks. This is not easy to understand from the product descriptions, but these temp and humidity sensors, which communicate by bluetooth with their hub and (I think) via their hub to wifi, do NOT use their bluetooth powers to communicate with the Govee distributed gateway products like their smart plugs. They're kind of a standalone, dead-end information source. You can get notifications based on their output if you want, but then it's up to you to act on the info. I was pretty disappointed that after investing in a bunch of these, I still couldn't do what I want and had to purchase different sensors. FYI, there is a similar-priced Govee thermohygrometer sensor that is bluetooth only, and works with the distributed gateway. But you can't monitor that sensor remotely as they do not send their data by wifi. They only talk to devices within bluetooth range. I have not purchased the sensor that costs more than twice as much but apparently does both things. While the app displays dew point (as well as temp and relative humidity) and another statistic, when you export the data, it only gives you temp and relative humidity. With a little research you can figure out how to compute dew point from the information given, and I guess if you're sophisticated enough to know how to put data together and use it, this is not going to be a big obstacle, but still...

These devices pay for themselves.
I have a three story brick building which has a generic natural gas hot water boiler system. The router and my computer is on the 1st floor and I have established temp reading on the 3rd floor. I use these temperature devices to monitor room temp. High temp indicates one of two situations, zone valves stuck open or tenants are massaging the Honeywell thermostat to obtain excessive room temperatures. I am very pleased.
