Effective and easy to install/operate exhaust
TLDR: Powerful, Not too loud, easy installation but needed additional items to make airtight and bug free. Overall happy with purchase. FULL REVIEW: Needed an exhaust fan for my interior kitchen and chose this option after learning it would cost thousands to install a true kitchen exhaust fan through my roof. Instead of putting a fan in a window (too far from my oven), I have put it through the back wall of my laundry/pantry into my garage. Installation was super easy after cutting the holes. It has a nice long cord to reach an outlet. It is a strong fan that moves lots of air quickly. I have plugged it up in my garage to a smart outlet so I can run it through Alexa. My only issue with the fan is that the butterfly flaps do not provide complete closure. Which means it is not airtight and I needed some sort of screen to keep bugs out. I found an 8" diameter x 4" exhaust duct coupler to extend the fan out so that I could have some duct distance past the butterfly flaps when they are open and capped it with a grow tent vent cover as a bug screen, both found on Amazon. I sealed the garage side of the wall around the coupler with caulk tape also found here. I have hidden the fan behind a tin on my wall and used window weather stripping on the back of the tin to create seal with the wall to keep any air from slipping in or out. Think it is fit for purpose and even with extra part expenses is so much cheaper than the alternative and no hole in my roof (bonus). High cfm!
Needed more airflow for our medicinal gardening room. I grow in an open room with a fan in the window. Our latest crop was odiferous and outdid our 190cfm cyclone fan. I searched Amazon and found this 10 inch that pulls 900 ish cfm. What a difference. Since the room has all hvac shut off, not much air circulates and the lights heat the room to about 75 degrees in winter. Summer is about 15 degrees higher. With this fan in the window, the cfm output is high enough to draw in the cool air from the door cracks without letting the odors out. Yeah, it is loud but its high cfm so... worth it. Running continuously. Last fan ran for 6 years and still functions well. Will report back if it fails. Update a few days later. Yes this fan rips. Yes it keeps the smells of my garden out of our house. We grow legally so stealth is not a concern. However, my neighbor complained about the sound. Mind you we are not that closely housed. Her home is about 60 yards away and I had mounted it with no ductwork to an exterior window. I went to the hardware store and purchased 25 feet of insulated 10" duct hose. I moved the fan into a box (cardboard amazon reused for testing). I ran the duct hose in a snaking pattern to the window with a cheap 10" flange to mount at the window and placed the fan inside the room. I ran the duct hose through the box and used leftover foam from packaging inside the box to add sound deadening. Inside the room the fan is still at 80 decibels but at the window you cannot hear it at all outside even standing next to it. It still pushes a ton of air but now quietly. So if you want high flow and stealth, this is your fan. You just have to do a few extra steps.

A bit loud and needed modifications.
After removing the flappers (they didn't work well and my cover had one already) the fan is fine, but a bit loud. I installed a fan controller ($10) to reduce the speed/noise and now it is fine running at about 50% power. If this had a speed controller included, it would be 5 stars.

Still working
Works great for what is required. Its been installed 3 years now and it's still running. It does run louder than I would want, but that could be the orientation (on its side)? Still does the job.

Nice product
Nice product, Tricky installation. The wire is on the barrel, so you have to be creative to bring it inside the wall to plug in. Also I caulked around outside edges and added this vent box I picked up at Lowe's.

Tools needed and Expectations exceeded
Works great, I installed this in my garage to exhaust the air out to try and level out the humidity due to my fish tanks making it humid. I did have to buy a exterior vent cover I recommend buying the vent cover with the 6 inch pipe as the fan pipe may not be long enough to go all the way thru the wall is about 10 inches to short for ke but i have very thick walls apperently but I bought a 6 inch piece that has the vent built in and trimmed it to fit and it worked perfect. I highly recommend this product the air flow is above my expectations thank you I bought a 6 inch hole saw as well to drill the hole made the job so easy tools needed. A 1/2 inch drilll. A 6 inch hole saw. Pencil tape measure stud finder to miss stud and electrical anyway i hope this review helps someone

Not a quality fan
Don’t bother I had it installed the fan was loud but that’s fine about a week or two latter started hearing a rattle noise also I turned it off sent email through Amazon to seller about it with no response!!! I now turn it on and the bearing noise is loud enough my neighbor called me. I’m nervous that it will lock up or start a fire I strongly suggest not to buy this fan
