OK, for those of you looking for a quiet desk fan that does a good job of circulating the air and providing a cooling breeze, then look no further. I've returned a few fans looking for a quieter fan and I've decided to hold on to this one because it is the quietest I've tested and worth the money. You'll hear the noise of the air movement and very little/no mechanical whirring. It has 6 modes; low med high on fixed mode, then the same on oscillating. Low puts out enough air to feel the breeze and there is very little noise. Size wise it's not small, it's taller than some due to the oscillation components, but it's not too wide. The fan is not perfect mind you, I have one real gripe, and it's directed at the people who put the fan together. Some tool has stuck a white, health and safety sticker on one of the blades and due to its construction there is no obvious way to get to it.. It's firmly stuck, so you can't scratch it off either, so you're lumped with an unsightly white sticker in the middle of your otherwise completely black fan. Why?! Still, it's not enough to effect performance so for me it stays, and still worth 5*.

Works extremely well on a timer twice a day under a bed, facing the outside wall so that it moves the air around behind chests of drawers to prevent any chance of mould forming. Stays on for 15 minutes each time activated and does the job perfectly. Quiet and no problems since purchase.

Brilliant fan which really helps during heat waves to sleep better

I've only had the fan for 24hrs but it is very good and NOT noisy. If the control knob was a little easier for my old hands to hold I'd have given it a 5*

for the past couple of summers, my now 10 year old girl has had to sleep in a room with a fan sounding like it was preparing for takeoff and that was on the so called comfort sleep setting. after several failed google searches i came across this desk fan. bit concerned that some of the other reviews had issue with the size, but in this case small is definitely mighty. for it's diminutive size it certainly packs a punch on the higher speed settings, more than covering the area required. the biggest and most pleasant shock though is this fans low speed or sleep setting, barely making any more noise than an average sized tower PC, plus still moving enough air to cool you if you were sleeping. yes, the fan should be on a cabinet fairly close to your bed to maximise the effectiveness of this setting, but for its size i am genuinely impressed. will definitely be buying more of these.

I collected the fan from an Amazon locker this morning (such a convenient way of collecting ones orders). I have had it switched on for the last five hours. On a No. 2 setting, it is very quiet while giving a nice cooling breeze.Early days but, assuming it is reliable, I really like it. And the black design works really well.

Good fan overall. The only problem with this fan is that you can tilt it up and it moves side to side but you can’t tilt it downwards. Quite a simple thing that could have easily been made into a function. So if you’re using this for your bedroom and your side table is higher than your bed then the air won’t touch you at all.
