Last year, my poor daliahs and petunias specifically had nothing left of them thanks to the slugs and snails. Because I have cats, I wouldn't put anything down. This year I researched pellets and found these pet safe ones. I can honestly say, I haven't even found trails, let alone any signs of nibbles. So they definitely work and my cats are not at risk.
