I spent years using the chemistry set style testing kits. You spend a lot of time and effort, and for all of it, you don't get any information that these 7-way strips don't also give you. They are easy to read if you hang on to the big paper chart. If you lose that, there is a smaller chart on the bottle, but with the curvature of the bottle, it's a bit harder to compare to the strip. I've had aquariums for over 20 years. Mostly freshwater but I've kept saltwater tanks as well. At least for freshwater, I think these are the best way to go for most people. Easy testing means you'll be testing more frequently, and that's a good thing.

Stript Health is my choice for aquarium testing stripts because these tests are a one stop shop for aquarium tests. These stript test the water in my aquarium for Carbonate, Alkalinity, pH, General Hardness, Free Chlorine, Nitrate, and Nitrites when in the past I have had to buy multiple different tests to cover all these. They are super easy, extremely fast, and with a crystal clear reading, the results are indisputable. They also offer additional test versus the competitors making these a great value! Will buy again for sure!

The strips are fine but the pad colors bleed into each other making it very difficult to get a accurate reading

The product results are very close to API results and I like the fact that I can also test for copper levels. The results are quick and very easy to read. I love that they have the recommended results signified by the square box around them. I will definitely add this to my list of frequent and reoccurring fish supplies.

Let me start with I have well water and the only water I use is RO/DI water and it tells me that the water is off the chart for hardness, tell me I have chlorine in the water and my Alkalinity is high but my PH is low, The digital test kit that I used tells me the water is 6.6 PH, 60 hardness 45 Alkalinity 0 chlorine 0 Nitrate 0 Nitrite. This test kit says 6.0 PH, 425 hardness 180 Alkalinity 5 chlorine 0 Nitrate 0 Nitrite and both of them are fresh water just out of the RO/DI system

Wow these work great and they are so simple to use. It is just as accurate as the API liquid test kit and saves me a lot of time. I now use these strips for routine checks and the API liquid test kit every once and a while. Plus with 100 strips they last a long time for the price. Would absolutely recommend this water test kit!

These strips are a pain. Colors always bleed making it impossible to know what the reading actually is, especially for the pH which is my biggest concern. I go through many strips just to confirm the levels every time I test. I wouldn't buy again. Awful product.The picture attached is strips taken from the same aquarium working 5minutes of each other. Anyone want to guess what the levels are because I sure don't know. Notice the drain difference between the carbonate and pH readings across the board. Utterly useless product.

These strips are accurate (same results as Petsmart strips) and there are many so it will last a long time. They have an instruction sheet with the levels and color indicator and it is printed on bottle. Highly recommend.
