So, initially i had my doubts when i ordered this headphone, especially considering my lack of knowledge in this devices, however, it is with great pleasure to inform you that it is an amazing purchase. • sound quality is decent, there is ANC (active noise cancellation) which isn't really good, you will be disappointed if you bought it for noice cancellation, it does supress a little external sound but not even remotely impressive • It looks beautiful, mine is black, although it doesn't seem very durable, now i am confident i can take great care of it, but if you aren't careful then it might end up breaking within first few months of purchase. • Ambient mode is extremely helpful during functions or any event where you need to be attentive, maybe someone is calling you or something else, so using Ambient mode you can hear external sound more clearly • One of the main reason i bought it is because of the battery, and it didn't disappoint, absolute monster when it comes to battery, you can use it for 6 hours continuously and only 10%-5% battery will be consumed. • It is also extremely comfortable and covers your ears really well, it's foldable but again handle with care, it doesn't seem very durable, modes such as signature sound makes the listening phenomenal. • Gaming - now i didn't expect it to perform this well in terms of gaming but i was surprised, while they didn't mention anything about gaming experience, it did perform very well, games checked - (PUBG, Terraria, COD, Dead Cells, Little Nightmare).

Bought the boAt Rockerz 551 ANC thinking it would be durable for daily study and entertainment use, but the build quality is honestly terrible. The extension/support joint on one side broke during completely normal usage while simply wearing the headphones. No major fall, no rough handling — just a slight flex and it cracked. Comfort is also overhyped. Long usage becomes uncomfortable, and the plastic build feels weak and cheap. Sound may be decent, but what’s the point if the structure itself cannot survive regular use? Definitely not value for money at the current price. Expected durability, got disappointment instead.

Not good build quality

The headphones offer very good sound quality with clear bass and balanced audio. They are comfortable to wear for long periods and the build quality feels solid. The battery life is also impressive, making them suitable for daily use like music, calls, and watching videos. Overall, it’s a great product for the price. 🎧

Long-term review! I felt compelled to write this 5 months in, right after breaking the headphones. Build Quality: The build quality is evidently average. I am a very rough & tough user who has been using JBL headphones for years, and this headphone barely survived 6 months. Sound Quality: The sound quality is okay for the price point, but nowhere near the premium ones. It's good for a strict budget and that's about it - the mids, the treble and the bass just get the job done. Battery & ANC: The absolute best thing about these headphones is the battery life; it lasts long enough that you forget when you last charged it. The ANC feature is also adequate to keep your listening isolated from outside noise. Verdict: In short, it's overrated and overpriced in its segment, and there are loads of better budget options even in boAt's own product list.

Broke in Just 2 Months. Save Your Money. I regret buying the boAt Rockerz 551 ANC. What looked like a decent pair of headphones turned out to be a complete disappointment in terms of durability. Let's start with the build quality — it's absolutely terrible. boAt tries to fool you by giving an illusion of a premium, sturdy build. Don't fall for it. The real weak point is the hinges — those thin, flimsy plastic joints where the earcups fold inward. They are shockingly fragile. Mine snapped during completely normal, everyday use. No drops, no mishandling — just regular wear. That's how poorly engineered these hinges are. The headphone lasted exactly two and a half months before falling apart in my hands. As for sound quality, it's just okay-ish at best — nothing impressive for the price, and the ANC feels more like a marketing gimmick than a real feature. And if you're counting on boAt's warranty to save you — don't. Their warranty claim process is a nightmare and they will find every reason to reject it. Bottom line: This product is a complete waste of money. I strongly recommend everyone to avoid the Rockerz 551 ANC and invest your money in a brand that actually stands behind its products.
