Nice guitar great price
I pre-ordered this IVY ILJR-200 on March the 14th, and just received it today. The shipping weight showed 11.5 pounds, so I was expecting a brick, but of course, Amazon includes at no extra charge an oversized outer box with no packing materials so the inside box just bounces around. Fortunately, no harm was done. A featherweight at 5.6 pounds, and since I play sitting down neck dive is not an issue. Ready to play out of the box after stretching the strings. A set up to my taste will come in the next week. The fit and finish is very good, only one minor "Grain of sand" flaw on the back of the neck, but I do not feel it while playing so no big deal. The neck profile fits my hand nicely, P90 has a nice growl when pushed, and the tone and volume knobs work fine. The nut is cut well, the fret ends are smooth, and overall I am quite impressed at this price point. $136.00 Shipped It will take some getting used to the absence of fretboard markers but could be a good lesson in playing without looking. If not perhaps some fretboard stickers will be applied at some later date. Well worth the wait.

Perfect bang for buck!!
For the price this Guitar is great! The Tuners are trash, plan to replace them quick. I installed Gold Musicly 3L3R and installed Brown Tuner buttons. I also covered both pickguard and truss rod covers in adhesive leather for fun. Also I replaced all the chrome screws with gold screws. Then lastly I installed some brown speed knobs I sanded to give this an overall brown earthy look. The body is so lite, the neck dive isn’t that bad. The neck is wide and feels great. The P90 is killer, this really is an all in one guitar. The tone is crisp and clear, even distorted all strings ring out evenly. I see where people complain about the bridge posts being bent at an angle. I tune a step down so I’m hoping this relieves that tension! If this happens I’ll follow the other review here where the person installs an extra post and bridge for tension relief. If you have never played a LP JR DC, give this a shot, it’s not a shredder. This is great for a rhythm player or simple leads. I use it for Shoegaze style playing and it’s 10/10 for that!! **UPDATE 6 MONTHS LATER** This guitar is a shred machine!!! Has proven to be my favorite guitar to play and stays in tune really well!! GET IT!!

Good construction but the pickup is mediocre.
This is a nice, inexpensive way to get a double cut Les Paul Jr with a p90 pickup. The price is low enough that it's a good starter for a project or to switch out the pickup, which needs to happen because it's one of the noisiest p90s I've ever heard with any kind of distortion. It's pretty noisy on lower volume clean which shouldn't happen. If you're a beginning guitar player who wants this type of guitar, I would look elsewhere and pay a little bit more because it'll need a setup and I'm not normally somebody who replaces pickups automatically but in this case I would recommend it, so that puts a beyond the reach of a beginner. Tuners are adequate, fit and finish good for this price range. The sound is pretty close to an Epiphone/Gibson guitar of this type, and it's a nice size for beginners. If someone wants to go to the trouble of having it set up and getting a noise gate/improving insulation ground/etc then it's cheap enough to do that. This company puts outs nicer guitars at the higher price ranges.

Excellent value at even 2 or 3 times the price.
I could not be more pleased with this guitar. Exceeded my expectation cosmetically and functionally. This guitar is a homerun. Time will tell about longevity. I have purchased two IVY guitars that have been surprisingly good!!

Nice guitar!
I did not have very high expectations for this guitar considering the price. Also I had almost given up since I ordered the guitar 11 months prior. I was pleasantly surprised after opening the box and inspecting. Unlike the reviewer of the first issue of this guitar, the one that I received has position markers on the fretboard as well as the side of the neck. After slightly adjusting the string height, the guitar plays beautifully. The neck is chunky as would be found on the original. The p90 pickup sounds great. The only noticable flaw was a chip in the fretboard at the first fret. I was also concerned about intonation since the bridge/saddle is not angled like the original, but it seems to be fine. The weight is balanced between the body and neck and feels very solid. I give it a thumbs up.👍

Making the IYV tv yellow LP junior perfect!
These are really great guitars BUT you may have to invest some time and resources to make it perfect. Because the guitar is made from very light weight wood , the initial bridge post began to lean and be pulled forward. I tried a bigsby style Tremelo to change the string stress angle but it wouldn’t stay in tune ( Tremelos fault) so I installed a stop tailpiece with some washer to absorb stress and after making some careful measurements…. Problem solved!

Needs set up buzz rod needs adjusting a little needs a little work.
Got today but a little disappointed that my pickup has nothing on it The CNC wound PUs I have in my other IYVs and sound good.. The add shows the branding on it Maybe return going to have to think about it. The guitar needs some work but I do that but shouldn't have to... It plays ok fat neck but I've been playing for 40 plus years so I can play any guitar

Sweet yellow rose
Can't fault anything with this P-90 double cut. The vintage yellow is attention getting. Pretty much flawless except for a really small area on the curvature of the lower bout beside the pick guard where an unevenly sanded area, 3/4", can be felt and seen if you look carefully. Again unnoticeable unless you're looking for it. The tuners are fairly smooth. The nut is cut well and appears to be bone. The frets are finished nicely along the jatoba fretboard . The wrap a round bridge matches the fretboard radius and allows for individual intonation of the g and b strings. Volume and tone knobs are period accurate. The P-90 really rips, no need for upgrade here. That said, for under $150 delivered, this little rose can't be beat. Just wish they had added fret markers .EDIT: after 2 months of ownership, cracks are appearing on the fretboard from the 7th fret ip and down the center of the board, somewhere around where fret markers would be located, possibly because of stress caused due to lack of relief in the material. Too late to return.
