Bags of extra data space for a great price! - Running out of data space for the my Nintendo Switch, I definitely needed a micro SD card, and found this 256GB one the very thing I needed. Officially licensed for Nintendo, this 256GB card looks really nice decorated with the Super Mario Super Star, but it also provides more than enough space I need for game data and also downloading extra games from the Nintendo E-shop. Because of all the extra data space this micro SD card now provides, it also seems to make my Switch now perform more smoothly now that there’s more memory available. Very good value for money, high-quality and easy to install in the Switch as well. Needless to say, handle with care as it can be quite delicate, but for Switch owners who need more data, this is the very thing you’ll need. The Nintendo Switch requires a microsd card rated at UHS-1 speed rating. ANY microsd card you find with this speed rating will work in your Switch. Its simple to tell which cards to look for on the card itself. Bypass the cards that have a 10 with a circle around it--they are too slow. Instead, look for the cards that have an oversized U with the number 1 or 3 inside of it. Its OK if the card has both the circled 10 and the 1 inside of the U as long as the 1 inside of the U is still listed...The $15 128GB "TEAMGROUP Color Card II" I just bought off Amazon is more than fast enough, and is $10 cheaper than this one. So, yes, they are capitalizing on most people just not knowing that any card that meets the UHS-1 rating will work in the Switch. **Q: What makes the "Nitendo Switch" edition special other than the Mushroom?** A: It's actually mostly the warranty. I found out the hard way when my normal Sandisk card died and I tried to use the 10 year warranty. Apparently the Nintendo Switch isn't covered under the regular warranty because it counts as "a device where the SD card is the primary drive" which are excluded. So if your card dies, tell them it was in a camera or cell phone or something, not the Switch. This card explicitly includes the Switch in the warranty and extends that warranty to life time. **Q: Do you have to use a specific ad card or can you buy any sad card?** A: Netac SD cards are low cost but surprisingly dependable! Great amount of storage and has vastly improved my gaming experience. I can now download way more games, obviously, but one thing I hadnt factored in was speed. My switch now seems to run much faster due to the increase in storage space and loading games etc is just much quicker which is a major bonus. It is super easy to install, just plug it in and then follow the commands on screen. It will take maybe 20 or more minutes to move your game data to the card if you have completely filled your internal storage like I did. But, once you have done so, it functions perfectly and you won't have to touch it until you completely fill it up. I haven't had to do this yet and I have around 40 ish digital game cards with hundreds of hours of data.
