This is a very attractive fixture. I bought two. There are no visible blemishes on either of them. I was doubtful the body would be metal at this price point, but it clearly is--very solid. It includes everything you need for installation. It's quite easy to install, though the instructions included don't really spell it all out for you. There are little "O" rings; I believe they go under the ferrules to keep water from working its way into the fixture. You also have to figure out that the bass nuts go on the threaded rod, behind the mounting bar; their purpose is to make sure the rod doesn't continue to spin as you thread the ferrule on over the fixture. The package includes a rectangular gasket to seal the space between your wall and the fixture. Confusingly, the instructions say you must apply caulking/sealant around the fixture. You should really only need one or the other. I went with caulking since I found the gasket unsightly. My only real concern is that the finish is a bit rough. When it comes time to clean these, I think it'll take a bit of work. I would've appreciated a smoother surface. Aside from that, I'm love this fixture.

This is an ugly, utilitarian ligth fixture. But, it matches the origainal fixtures it replaces on my condo balcony. Good qualitum aluminum and quality glass globe.

No hassle install to replace an old fixture.

I was looking for an inexpensive light for my back door that offered a modern look and this seemed to check the box. Install was super easy and quick. The instructions are minimal and don’t indicate via the expanded diagram or written details where some of the parts are to be used. Not that big of deal, but if you’re not particularly familiar or handy it might give you some pause. There is also a footnote that states the “fixture must be caulked” to ensure it’s water tight. I don’t recall ever being required to do this for a light that is rated for outdoor use. That said, I fortunately have a 2ft overhang and the fixture is hung pretty high so I do not plan (as of right now) to muck up my brick facade with caulk. This fixture can take up to a 150w bulb which is like looking into the sun. I used a 100w bulb and it’s still incredibly bright. The white glass globe does have a seam, but it’s not super noticeable. Plus it’s an inexpensive light so I’m not expecting the best quality. Nice light with an easy install at an affordable price.

My old one (dusk to dawn) made in the usa finally gave out after 15 years. There are some similar ones available, plastic housing, like my original one, but design is marginal. Came across a vintage Lithonia lighting on Ebay, which is almost identical to this one. Took a lot of looking but found this item on Amazon - great. Regarding this fixture: Nicely made housing, a square gasket between the fixture and the wall, nice quality accessory pack. Note that (in my case) old work - rectangular boxes - the screws provided do not fit. Seem to be 6/32, used the ones that were there when I removed the old fixture - 4/40. The "jar" screws in - just great after dealing with tiny setscrews - AND it has a gasket. No bugs in the light, and because of the square wall to fixture gasket they can't get in the back way either. I found the hand nut that fixes everything to the wall difficult to grip, the O ring is an extra seal around (not under) this nut. If you have difficulty these hand nuts are available in solid brass and easier to grip at HD. I'm not sure if you can fit an A21 (100w) into this fixture. The Cree A19 4Flow in both 40w & 60w fits with clearance. It is possible to fit the miniature 3wire photocell that HD has, but in this housing it points skyward. Might fit on the side, close to the wall. Did not need to try this for my use. Bronzotic is a color description I have not heard before - at anyrate it looks black to me. While installing it in daylight there is a hint of brown. Overall, it's perfect - love it - recommended product. Some mfgs still make good products.

I singled out these fixtures not only for their style but I wanted the ability to select specific light sources. Standard E26 base LED with my choice of color and wattage. There are no electronics in this fixture, just a simple, rugged ceramic socket with leads. I am puzzled by the review here claiming a short-circuit fault. The shades are unfortunately fragile, mine had damage but the vendor promptly sent me replacement shades. I applied some lubricant to the threaded neck of the shades to enable threading the shades into the aluminum fixture. This may be necessary to minimize the friction between the aluminum and the glass.

I bought a few of these because I live in a condo on the ocean and all my outdoor lighting was rusty. I thought I was gonna have to spend a fortune of money on these. I think they were about $30 each so I bought one for each balcony And now they look great. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Incluye unos empaques la sellan y ayudan a proteger la lámpara del agua y la humedad tanto en la parte trasera que va pegada a la pared como en donde enrosca la parte de vidrio.Buena calidad de los materiales, si la recomiendo.
