I finally have nails that I'm proud of
Nail Envy polish works wonders with time! Picuture shows the Powerful Pink color (one coat). It reminds me of a beautiful red onion, and it has a pearlescent effect. My fingernails have always been very thin and peel easily, so it was impossible to let them grow without getting a little split that would then rip the whole nail tip into the skin fold. I tried wearing acrylics for a few months last year, but that didn't really work out or improve my nail strength the way I'd hoped, so I took them off 6 months ago. The salon tech that did the acrylic removal overfiled my nails and left them ridiculously thin and flexible; I was so nervous that they were ruined and would be painful. I bought the OPI Nail Envy as well as the Orly Nailtrition and alternated between both for several weeks to try and strengthen my natural nail. I did not see any huge improvement in my nails after 2 months of following the treatment instructions, but they were "stabilized" and I just kept them filed really short. Here's where the magic happens: because I liked the formula and color so much, I just used the Nail Envy as regular ol' nail polish. I know that the instructions are to add a coat every day for a week, but this stuff is so good and durable even without doing that! I paint 2 coats of nail envy and then add a top coat, and I swear it lasts just as long as any other lacquer. I can wear it for a week without chips and it looks great. Another huge win: it dries super fast! So, I can do that nail envy quick manicure (2 coats plus rapidry top coat) and it'll be ready to go in about 45 minutes. Sometimes i would add blue glitter polish over the pink, and it would have a cool holographic effect. Because it was so easy, quick to use, and durable, I ended up using the nail envy about every-other time I would paint my nails. Just regular color lacquer in between. So I've been doing that for 4 months or so, and I just realized that for the first time EVER I have strong, healthy nails that don't require a ton of maintenance and I can grow a little bit of length without fear of cracks or peeling. They are noticeably thicker and do not bend as much. I can apply a bit of pressure at the side or tip and my nail will not split or peel like before. (Note- I'm keeping them filed in a round shape, which I did not do before.) Nail Envy seems to have put an end to a 10+ year struggle with awful, painful fingernails and I'm most grateful. I also have nail envy in clear, and I've used 2 coats of it as a base coat under color lacquer and it seems to hold up pretty well. I can get 5-7 days of wear out of it which is not bad at all for regular polish.

If this doesn't work, you're probably applying it wrong
The first thing you need to know is that Nail Envy does not apply like regular OPI nail lacquer. So, if you're trying to use it that way, it won't work. Here are the most important things to know: 1) This stuff works. After having acrylic nails for years, my nails were destroyed. I quit the acrylics and gel applications and the only thing that helped my nails grow back out was Nail Envy. 2) Before you apply this polish, you need to use nail polish remover to ensure your nails are completely clean. Any type of residue will keep it from staying on your nails - even more so than with other nail polish. 3) This is thicker than the OPI nail lacquer, so you apply it differently. You can't make several swipes with the brush, you need to only apply it once down the middle, or once down the middle and then one time on each side. If you brush on more polish than that, you will end up with a gloppy mess. Make sure there's enough on the brush to cover the nail, but no extra. It might take a couple of times to get this part right. 4) It dries VERY quickly. I love this because I can put two coats on and be ready to go in less than ten minutes - start to finish. It only takes a few minutes between coats. But that also means you can't go over the nail repeatedly - it just dries too quickly. 5) In my opinion, you should NOT put on a new coat every day. That's unnecessary and can build up so much that it peels. I normally do my nails one day and a few days later, I use one more coat. This way it lasts a full week for me. BE SURE to wipe your nails with alcohol before applying the new coat days later. The same as when you apply it to bare nails, it won't apply well if there is any residue on your nails. 6) I have only used a few colors, but in my experience, one coat of the light colors is transparent. I use the Pink to Envy and it doesn't really add any color to my nails. Even if I apply multiple coats, it's hard to tell it isn't clear. If I want color on my nails, I use two coats of the Nail Envy and a third coat of OPI Nail Lacquer. If you use multiple coats of the Nail Envy, it has a tendency to get too thick and peel (as I said earlier). I have never tried any of the darker colors, but I imagine if you use two coats of the darker shades, you will get the opaque look you want. 6) Because this lasts a full week (if applied correctly) and how quickly it dries, this is the least amount of time I have ever spent on my nails. Last but not least, it works to strengthen your nails. It's more expensive than normal nail polish, but the results are well worth the few extra dollars.

Brought My Nails Back After SNS — Really Impressed
My little brother treated me to SNS nails for my birthday, and I hadn’t had them in a couple of years. Unfortunately, life (and weather) got in the way — I missed my follow-up appointment and ended up going way too long without having them properly removed. One nail started lifting, and when I saw how thin and fragile my natural nail was underneath, it honestly scared me a bit. I ended up removing them myself (not something I recommend — definitely better to have them professionally removed), and then focused on getting my nails back to normal. This is one of the products I started using, along with keeping my nails trimmed and taking better care of them overall. The quality is excellent. The formula applies smoothly, has a clean texture, and there’s no overwhelming smell. It dries well and doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. Over time, I noticed a real improvement. My nails started to feel stronger, looked healthier, and within about two months, they were back to normal. It arrived well-packaged with no issues, and for the price, this is absolutely worth it — especially if you’re trying to recover from damage. This has become something I’ll continue to keep in my routine. #AmazonFinds #AmazonFine #Chihuahuamom #Dobermanmom #LuxeLife #MindfulLuxury #IntentionalLiving #ConsciousLiving #NailCare #HealthyNails #SelfCarePractice #BeautyRoutine #RecoveryRoutine #EverydayLuxury

Beautiful sheer color as a one-coat manicure; meh for everything else
Since this is a colored nail treatment, I'll review it both as a treatment and a polish. As a nail treatment, OPI Nail Envy is fine. I have one nail with a cracking/peeling tip. I've been using Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, which was doing a great job at keeping my nail stronger and therefore longer, though I still get minor wear in the weak point of the tip after about 3 days without re-application. OPI Nail Envy performs exactly the same, though the retail price is 3-4 times of the Sally Hansen. If all you're looking for is a nail strengthener, I would recommend trying the cheaper option first. Instead, I bought this product because I wanted a good sheer baby pink polish. I had a lot of trouble finding sheer pink polish that doesn't streak, and saw on a Youtube live swatch that this dries without streaks in one coat. The blogger also mentioned that it appears to be more colored and less streaky than the OPI Bubble Bath polish, and that's what convinced to me to shell out the extra dollars. It really worked. The color is a pale, milky pink, which is lighter than my skin tone but still sheer and clean-looking. When I first applied one coat, it looked streaky, but it quickly dried to an even color. One coat makes for a beautiful and super fast manicure. However, because this is not a normal nail polish, there are some defects. This stuff showed every ridge on my nails. The worst thing is that two coats take FOREVER to dry properly. On two separate nights, I painted my nails with two coats (resting for 10-30 min in between), then waited for another 30-60 min before going to bed, and still woke up with at least 3 badly smudged/dented nails. I didn't want to use a top coat with it, but I guess it would help.

Good product but overpriced
I have used this product for years and my nails do not break as easily when not using. Needless to say I like OPI products. You start with 2 coats which is easily applied like nail polish. I allow the first coat to dry before applying the second but the product dries quickly. Then you apply a coat every day thereafter. I remove the polish after 5 days otherwise it starts to chip. Product is shiny like wearing a clear coat of nail polish which works for me and is a look that I like. Unfortunately the price has skyrocketed and I only buy Nail Envy when it’s on sale.

Works Great and Easy to Apply
I’ve been using this nail strengthener for a while and I’m really happy with the results. It goes on smoothly, dries quickly, and gives my nails a clean, natural-looking shine. My nails feel stronger and seem less likely to break or peel. It’s easy to use and works well on its own or under nail polish. Great product for keeping nails looking healthy and well cared for!

Not the same as the regular OPI nail polish - my experience
I ordered OPI Nail Envy polish instead of their regular polish line to strengthen my weak nails. Although my nails are short, I thought a color would look nicer on me instead of a nude or light colors. I chose Tough Luv. Following the instructions of applying the coats to a clean nail bed (not over a base coat as traditional manicures would begin), I applied my first coat and was glad that 2 coats were indicated on this first day. The color was streaky and uneven. The brush & the viscosity of this bottle seems off, actually. I've been polishing my nails at a friends house and her OPI (and other brands) are very fluid and apply with adequate body within the polish itself. Unhappy with 2 coats of this OPI Nail Envy "Tough Luv", I applied a third coat and skipped the additional coat the following day. One of my nails chipped already. That was a real surprise to me, since each of my nails are so short. However, the polish doesn't flow as smoothly as the regular OPI. In fact, "loading" the brush with the right amount of polish is not as easy with OPI Nail Envy. Lastly, the dried polish (instructions do not say to add a top coat) lacks both the shine and protection a traditional manicure would have by finishing with a protectant glossy top coat. The Tough Luv color I have on is difficult to distinguish, ridges in my nails are very visible and the overall effort seems to be wasted. SEE PHOTOS: Zoom in to see the dried polish texture and uneven finish. Yes, polish is on my cuticles. I"ll try this a couple of weeks, but I'm not pleased. For the big increase in price versus a bottle of regular OPI polish, my goals as a consumer would be that the polish would have the appearance of a nice manicure: self leveling surface, shiny hard finish, and protection at the tip to lessen chipping. The "Tough Luv" one I purchased dried as a maroon/raisen color with low level shine. The finish shows too much texture. In fact, the thick polish itself seems to be the factor for some of the texture, unlike the smoother surface of my nail. If all the OPI Nail Envy colors perform this way, I will not buy any more of them. The market has plenty of products to strengthen my nails ... and still allow for a smooth and shiny surface when dry.

I think you’ll be satisfied I am
My nails don’t seem as brittle they’re not tearing seems like it’s working pretty good. It’s pretty pricey for one bottle of polish that’s supposed to help your nails strengthen. Would I buy this again I think so. Color is clear, drys fast and it has a pretty shiny clear color

Great for nail repair
Great for nail health! After getting gel nails off, my nails were weak and brittle. I was actually a bit scared at how thin they were. After using this product consistently, they are definitely stronger. I usually don't even do the full 7-day routine (because I forget) and end up with just 3–4 layers left on for a week or more, and it still works very well. I like that the color gives the nails a healthy tint, but nothing more and that it dries very quickly.
