Works fine, the holes have a purpose
It's a bit more difficult to breathe than I imagined it would be, but the same goes with an actual respirator. That's a good sign the product is working as intended. After reading other reviews and questions I wanted to help make a few things clear. First off, as people have said the mask is indeed littered with holes but that is before you insert the filter. The filter material covers all of those holes, which is exactly what a filter is supposed to do....it filters. Secondly, I've seen people asking/complaining about the black plastic pieces. Inside of those black pieces are clear plastic sheets that need to be there. The purpose of these clear sheets is to allow your carbon dioxide to escape. These sheets push against the black pieces when you exhale to allow air out and retract back when you inhale to prevent particulate from entering through those holes. This product works as advertised. One thing I would like to mention: as a male with a very full beard, it isn't as comfortable as I would like but I know that is 100% due to my beard. I can't say for certain due to my face fuzz but I believe this product to be fairly comfortable if you have anything less than a Grizzly Adams beard.

No extra filters included, goes around neck, not head
The fact that it requires oddly shaped filters with cutouts and only comes with 1 filter means it's not really a good deal compared to disposable or washable masks when you factor in filter costs. It wraps around the neck rather than the head, which I like so I can easily wear it with full helmet. If it came with a pack of extra filters it would probably be worth the money, but as-is it's basically an item that lasts one week.

I Use These During Fire Season
I have used this type of mask for several years as I have lung disease and severe allergies. The key to these masks and their functionality is the filter which is replaceable. The holes in the mask are necessary as there’s no easy breathing through neoprene.I love the replaceable, breathable filter and the comfort with coverage that fits to form a pretty good seal all around. One word of caution:The mask arrives sealed in a resealable mylar bag and has a very strong chemical type of odor.If you have lung issues, especially, remove the mask from the bag and air them both out for several days. Once the odor has dissipated, go ahead and store it in the bag it came in.

No - DON'T BUY
As a person who has a lung disease, I wore masks before COVID19. And recently I decided to get a new mask. So I like the wrap around the head masks vs over the ear. So I ordered me one of these, cause amazon ppl also bought this mask and the airnex filters, right? Boy are you in for a surprise as the airnex filters DO NOT fit this mask. The reason I know this? Besides this mask NOT arriving in the box its shown to come in, or the filter its supposed to come with. The filter is literally ultra thin, tiny little black charcoal filter, none of its sealed BY THE WAY, as the 3 pieces are completely separate. So I decided to put a airnex filter in, and yep, no. It won't even fit. You have to improperly place the filter in, to even to get it to go in.Let me just say, I really wish the company Cforward was still around cause they did excellent masks. This one? Overpowering smell with the mask too. And no, it doesn't stretch. And the outside materials that hold the filter? Uh...? What even is it? lol. And the metal clip over the nose? Besides being HUGE and obnoxiously there vs other companies. I can see why others complain it snaps off with little to no effort. Its just garbage cheap like aluminum. Like its coke can metal. Gotta say.. the only use this mask will get? None, literally none.

Works Great!
I have a very small head. I was reading that some others where having issues with how large the mask is. My trick is to cross the strap at a sharper angle in the back to keep more pressure on the bottom of the mask. I found that the metal part really did nothing for me, but I also have a very sharp strong nose shape so it was able to keep the mask flush on its own. I managed to pry off the metal so I could wear my sunglasses better when I mow. This bad boy keeps alllll of that nasty gunk out of your face when you mow its amazing! I highly recommend it for tiny chicks like me. (and all other size people lol) If you have a smaller head be sure to mess around with the strap angle when you Velcro and you can easily fix any gaping problems. If you find it falling down you need to secure it tighter and with a different angle, its not there for fashion don't be afraid of smoshing your cheeks a little to keep it on.
