BYRD Hair Clay Pomade – Strong Hold, Ultra Matte Finish, Add Volume and Sculpt to All Hair Types, 3.35 Oz

I honestly stumbled upon this brand recently after my previous brand for clay pomade was suddenly unavailable / out of stock on Amazon. But I love the quality and scent and have since reordered and added it to my “subscribe and save” list. The strong hold is great!

I couldn't be more delighted with my recent purchase of this clay pomade for my 9-year-old son. He's quite attached to his long, thick, and coarse hair (check out the image to see what I mean), and we've been on a quest to find a product that could make it more manageable and keep it out of his face. After trying out several products, I can confidently say that this one has stolen the show as our absolute favorite. The texture is wonderfully smooth, and there's no unpleasant sticky feeling to deal with. We were hoping it would do a good job of keeping his hair in place, and it does exactly that - no more hair in his eyes! What's even better is the creative potential this pomade unlocks. My son and I had a blast experimenting with different hairstyles, and we were amazed at how easy it was to achieve the looks we wanted while keeping his hair neatly in check. Finding the right product for thick and coarse hair can be quite the challenge, but this one was a delightful surprise. It's cool, it works like a charm, and we're both absolutely hooked. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I've become a regular customer now. This pomade has definitely earned a permanent spot in our hair care routine!

Before you buy this, just know that this is a wax. The feel and application is that of a wax. But that’s a good thing. Every wax I’ve used takes 4-5 washes to get out. Not this stuff. It holds like a wax but washes out like a pomade. This stuff holds better than anything I have ever used. At first ,because it felt like wax, I didn’t like it. But I got used to it and the main thing for me was that it held all day long. Nothing I have used before held all day long. This stuff is the best hair product I have ever used. Highly recommend.

Great product if your going for the dry look. Just don’t put to much in your hair. A little bit goes a long way.

Pros and cons: pros outweigh the cons so I'll start with the cons. Con: not always available. Sometimes takes forever to arrive. So I know that's not a con on the product because there really isn't one with short hair. I guess the con is that it isn't for hair length beyond pixie length. Pros: I have extremely great, thick, very straight hair. It's so thick that hair dressers are amazed at the quantity. I have two possibly 3 cowlicks. This product works with wet or dry hair. It's flexible and somehow stiff at the same time. My hair stays in the same idea until it gets wet. I spike it in a mohawk or have surfer hair. I ride a bicycle around town with a helmet and it still stays after it has been set. My hair moves when you touch it but bounces back unlike when I used got to be glued (do love the stuff for a different hairstyle). Doesn't get greasy even after 3 days of not washing. If you have used a wax but wish it had the hold of of glue, this is a product for you. Did not get paid for this review, but if the company wants to send some extra product I wouldn't turn it away.

Byrd clay pomade works really well for me , gives my hair the styled look I want and holds all day without feeling greasy or hard like after using styling gel. It also has a matte appearance so your hair isn’t super shiny. It also smells good in my opinion. I will be buying this product from now on.

This is the best hair clay I have found after trying so many of them. Firstly, I have very dense and fine hair, so most products don't stick all day but this one stays on my hair the whole day morning to bedtime...The texture is like gum when you put it on it's a bit hard to spread it out but that the only downside I could say of the product. The smell is nice and the finish is not shiny more natural like which I like. Also, I have a very sensitive skin, so a lot of these hair products will make my skin itchy but not this one for some reason.

Für mich als Frau mit kurzen feinen Haaren ist das Produkt nicht zufriedenstellend. Es erinnert mich sehr an Schuhcreme. Ich kann schlecht damit hantieren. Meine Finger kleben so dermaßen, dass ein Styling nicht möglich ist. Schade.
