No, not as thick or as cloying. More like the consistency of Macintosh's Toffee Cup from yesteryear. Better than Cadbury caramel. The chocolate (Cadbury Ireland) is smoother than it its regular counterpart, smoother and richer.

Yeah it's liquid caramel and not hard.
