I bought the ZeeDix 10 LBS Coconut Fiber Substrate to celebrate my long-haired hamster Mowgli's birthday and transition him to a more natural habitat. The compressed block expands into a huge amount of fine-textured substrate once you break it down with water in a large container. It didn't come with instructions, but wetting and breaking it up in stages works perfectly. Mowgli adapted to it right away—it holds his tunnels really well and gives him plenty of depth for burrowing. It also has a great, fresh earthy scent. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to build a naturalistic setup for their hamster!

Soft, fluffy, easy to use. Do not recommend for most reptiles, coco anything can cause high risks of impaction, only really recommend this for some snakes & a VERY limited geckos, though this would not be safe for bearded dragons, crested geckos, leopard geckos etc. I’d recommend Reptisoil for those animals. Regardless not a bad product if used properly.

Easy to use. I put it in the 2gal Halloween Home Depot bucket to mix and it almost fills up the whole thing with just one brick. I use in may on my reptile enclosures and they love it. Great price.

It does what it says. Fast shipping. Breaks up after adding water, will boost humidity as well looks legit, low smell if anything at all. But i shoulda did my research..it's not safe for bearded dragons, they will eat it and can lead to impaction. So after setting my tank up, it ate some ... Had to Google if it was ok and no it's not .. so I had to remove it all and shop vac if out. Waste of money but I shoulda researched.

I've used this before and have never been disappointed. My hermann tortoise loves his substrate. Please, appreciate Eugene being a total boss with Patrick.

Very satisfied. The quality is good and the price is very affordable. I hope that they will not raise the price ever. I use them for my tortoises cage and it takes care of mold and odor. This is infact my 3rd order, I will be continuing ordering this for as long as the quality stay the same and the price.

Bisher hatten wir solche Kokusfaserblöcke immer aus der Tierhandlung gekauft und nie Probleme mit gehabt. Jedoch sind diese hier im Wasser nicht aufgegangen und das Volumen ist gleich geblieben. Dabei war es egal ob wir es als ganzen Block im den Wassereimer oder auseinandergezupft rein getan haben. Bekommt trotzdem einen zweiten Stern weil es zumindest günstig war und die Schildkröten den Untergrund mögen.
