EarthChimp Organic Vegan Protein Powder, Vanilla, 4lb (No Scoop)

My favorite brand of vegan protein powder. I love all the ingredients. But I mostly love the texture and flavor. It’s not very gritty, like other protein powders. It mixes really well. It’s sweet, but not artificially so. And it mixes so well with fruits and other fun add ins. I recently started putting a teaspoon of matcha and a quarter cup of Starbucks lavender oat creamer in it. Sooooo good!

I have been primarily plant based for 30+ years. I have tried every vegan protein powder and shake available. While we have come a long way from the truly gross soy isolates of the 80’s-90’s, enjoyable drinkability was still an issue—too gritty, too sweet, too grassy, too gassy, too many added ingredients. I was pretty skeptical of trying yet another powder, but OWYN seems to have changed something this year and I can’t drink it anymore. Enter Earth Chimp. This is a game changer product. It’s drinkable, enjoyable, mixes well and keeps me full for hours. There’s a slight but not unexpected vegetal after-taste that can be helped by blending it with the milk of choice or by adding a fruit or nut butter or coffee. Current shake fixation: 2 scoops blended with 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk and a pitted nectarine, skin and all.

The best vegan protein powder I’ve tried. The flavors are all good, the texture is smooth, and the taste of the protein ingredients is mild and doesn’t affect whatever I add it to. Great for smoothies, baking… I add it to vegan yogurt to boost the protein content. Plus, the customer service is outstanding in ways you just don’t see anymore. So good I have it on auto-ship. I’m glad I found it!

This is by far the best protein powder I have ever had. The quality is amazing. The macros are amazing for the taste. Usually I would have Sasha fitness protein since macros are very good but I couldn’t enjoy the flavor as much and cooking with it to make pancakes, baking things or protein ice cream it wouldn’t give a good texture but Earthchimp works for all those things and is just great. Please do yourself a favor and get it. I love it so much I am writing this review at 3am on a random Thursday because I just had it and wanted to give the owners a smile for creating such a good product. I feel it kinda lasts a long time idk why lol. I have this everyday and it’s great on my stomach. I even add it to my cereal to give it a boost of protein and it tastes like dessert. Long Story short: Get it, you won’t regret it.

Not gritty, blends nicely. It is not vanilla flavor though. It’s definitely turmeric and cinnamon. I like those flavors a lot but felt misled by the Vanilla advertising. Not as sweet as many protein powders.

To be fair, I probably should have bought the plain version because I'm not big on sweetness and I generally avoid it. However, I had been quietly suffering for months: I was using 100% pea protein powder (super clean, sure) but that was just TOO bitter, so I was starting to add stevia to it just to cut the bitterness.🤦 After months of this, I figured I needed to concede and look for something a bit sweeter but NOT with a chemical flavor or actual sugars/carbs (this is tough to find). This protein powder checks all the boxes: Sweet but not chemical and artificial in taste, and no added sugars. It is technically way sweeter than I would like or need, but because all the ingredients are natural, there's no nasty chemical taste. When you open the bag and smell, you can usually immediately tell that chemical scent, but all I smelled mostly was cinnamon when I opened the bag.. (see below) I've tried close to half a dozen vegan protein powders over the years and this one is the best I've had. Thank you EarthChimp, please keep it in stock... (that tends to be a problem with good powders I find)... P.S. There is a very noticeable cinnamon flavor, which is strange at first, but by the time I demolished the whole drink (way too quickly), I'd happily forgotten. I guess it all works together in the end.

I love that the ingredients are clean. The VANILLA tastes good (if you’re used to protein powder). I stir it into my overnight chia pudding and it blends in no problem. I know it’s kinda pricey but I’d be paying $20 for probiotics on top of a protein powder. So this is SUPER WORTH IT for me!

Not the vanilla flavor I was hoping for. It tastes like watered down cake batter. Barely sweetened . It is definitely very grainy because of the pea protein. Great ingredients. I’ll stick to the chocolate. The chocolate one is also grainy, it doesn’t taste like a chocolate bar, but more like cake batter as well. When those are all used up though, I think I’ll try another brand because I would love better flavor. I can get past the grainy, but I really want it to taste good.
