Easy to use
I got these to help with animals processing. They work as expected, only issue I have is it comes with two separate sizes. Blades are not marked on packages to let you know what handle to use. Sometimes I like to use the large blade and accidently open a small one. So I have to use it. Handles wash easy (I throw in dishwasher upside down) Loading blades are easy and removes easy too. I keep the package to hold the used blade after for disposal.

Good scalpel but blade changes you want to use a hemostat.
This kit is great but I’m giving it 3 stars for blade change issues. First I want to point out that I am using this scalpel for cutting balsa wood for RC airplanes and fragging corals. Which it works great for airplane models /covering and fragging corals. Changing blades I use a needle nose pliers or a hemostat because the blades are brittle if they are flexed. Which is part of the issue. You have to slip the blade over the tool and flex it into position. Having the little edges snap while you’re trying to lock the blade in with a razor sharp edge could give you a pretty serious laceration if your not careful. So I would seriously recommend using a needle nose or a hemostat to change blades. The photo I’m posting shows the blade installed correctly. The old rusty blade is in its flexed position to be removed or installed. When it’s flexed I have had the thin edges of the blade snap. which I’m pointing out in photo 2. I will continue to use this scalpel and blades because they are sharp and accurate but I’d never change a blade without using a pliers or hemostat.

Great for my technical crafting, easy to load securely.
Seems like people are confused and think the handles should have a slit in them and so they give a low review. These are NOT like xacto knives. Match the rear slant of the blade to the recess in the handle, thread the end of the handle to go through the blade until it nests/snaps/sits in place securely. These are a great value.
