Sierra Electric JB5293 Battery-Operated Motion-Sensor Entry Light
These motion lights are perfect for in my house. We have a dark hallway that has the light switch at the END of the hall so we put one of these lights at the beginning of the hallway at head height. As soon as you get beside it, it turns on and you can see down there pretty good to walk. We use the second one for in the bedroom as a night light. As soon as you get out of bed or even go into the bedroom the light comes on for you to see. Another thing I like about these lights is they shut off on their own within 30 seconds or more so you don't have to worry about turning them off. They also come with a swith at the bottom to turn them on or off to save on battery life. They take 3C batteries. I would highly recommend these to my friends or anyone else who reads this. In fact i'm buying a few more for camp.

serves as a keyhole finder
Its is exactly what its price for, I use this product for my front door only as a light so I could see my keyhole to stick the key in. The light output is not very bright in reference to lighting the entire driveway but it serves my purpose well. The light stays on for 30 to 45 seconds before its starts to dim down, you should position it no more than 4ft from the location of the keyhole due to the light output and the distance for the motion sensor. I'm satisfied and like the product but the only purpose for the product is really to give light to find the keyhole or the actual light switch on the wall.

Does what it says and the price is right
I bought this to go over my front door and turn it on only when I'm away for a while and don't want to leave the porch light on.It is big and it's cumbersome, but once mounted it does exactly what I needed. When I get within about 15 feet, it comes on and provides a nice, soft bluish light that is more than adequate for me to see where I'm walking and get my keys out and unlock the door. I've tested it at night and it goes off within 30 seconds.Since it's mounted above the door, I can easily turn it on and off as needed so it doesn't waste batteries on stray dogs, wind, etc.The hinge is a little loose, so I'm looking at ways to remedy that. When not using it I keep it shut so it's just a black box above the door. When I want to use it I simply flip it up and hit the "on" switch as I'm leaving. It has its drawbacks, sure, but for $11 it does what I want it to do and I can't complain.

Motion Sensor Light is a bust
So far, hands down this is the worst item I've bought from Amazon. The light this thing emits is very dim, on a REALLY dark night it does help some, but not nearly enough. The lid doesn't stay where you put it, the mounting holes are on the large part, and there is no way to tighten the face part so it falls down over the motion sensor, making it useless. If you put it the way the picture shows, it falls... if I installed it so it's stright up, it stays, but the light shines AT you, instead of on the stairs where I need it, and in the dark, the LAST thing you need is light in your eyes, even as weak as these bulbs are. So on a scale of 1-10, you get a 1 for this one Sierra. Love to have my money back on this one.Jim C. Alabama

Not as Bright as the Picture Shows
I wasn't thrilled, its worth $12. The motion range is poor - 2 feet dead on and thought it would be brighter. To give you a comparison a small flash lite powered by 2 AA batteries is brighter then this 7 LED soft lite that takes 3 C batteries. My guess is this puts out 4 to 5 watts. The higher up you install it the less affective the lighting becomes, don't expect it to light up your porch or driveway with gleam. It may work for you in a shed, stairwell or basement utility closet which is were I installed mine.I purchased with the Fulcrum Light-It 6 LED Porch Light with Motion Sensor, its $30 to the $12 Sierra, but a much better product, its brighter, better light coverage with a 20 foot motion sensor for the driveway, walkway, porch or closet type.Good luck choosing.

Worth the Money
Works very well on our door. The motion sensor response quickly and gives us the light we need to see the lock on the front door at night. It is a little bigger than we thought, but it is worth the money.

Very Good product
I have no reservations recommending this product. the lights are bright for its purpose as an entry light, and the battery life is very good. The light stays on for a reasonable length of time (much longer than an average person would take to unlock two door locks and dims for a few seconds before going off. It does have at or close to a 10 ft. range and is bright enough for me to recognize a person standing at my door from 25 ft. away.

It comes on in the day?
The light comes on in the day, which I think is a waste of batteries. The light is pretty bright, but the hinged part that the LED's are on, likes to fall down. I glued it, so it says up.
