DISCLAIMER ABOUT NEGATIVE REVIEWS saying these drives aren't as fast as fanxiang claims: These drives ARE FAST and in most cases, they are probably faster than the customer's systems are capable of achieving. I've been upgrading several of my computers over the past 6 months and happened upon fanxiang branded 2.5" SSDs and decided to try a few mainly because they were less expensive than most other brands with similar specs. Sure enough, the data speeds were as promised (using CrystalDiskMark) and then I tried one of their smaller (1TB) m.2 drives and was also pleased with not only the performance but also again, their lower price compared to similar brands. So... I decided to 'go big' and got the 4 TB m.2 but decided to go for the 5000 MB/s instead of the faster one (7300 MB/s) simply because my system couldn't even make full use of the 5000 MB/s speed. This drive replaced a smaller 1 TB Sabrent Rocket (gen 4) and actually beat the read speed by 1000 MB/s while the write speeds were almost identical. I am thrilled with the performance, formatting was simple, and I quickly transferred around 350 GB from my smaller m.2 SSD to this one in a matter of minutes. While I have only been using fanxiang hard drives for about 6 months, I have not had any issues, but don't have a long enough history using them to comment on how well these last over a period of years. What I can say, is that they are less expensive than other brands of similar specs. Again, I just want to stress what I mentioned at the start of my review. These ARE fast drives, in many cases, the limitations are going to be from the motherboard itself, and also, transfer speeds (in actual use) will also vary based on the size of the files being transferred (transferring small files is much slower than transferring larger files).

Finally was able to download more games! I really recommend making a 1.5tb bc I might need it lol. Either way is way better than the official PlayStation SSD (cheaper)

Stupid easy installation into the ps5 and works perfectly.

Purchased it back in March 2025. I have had it for over a year and can report that it still works great. Fast speeds but unfortunately the price has sky rocketed. Recommended it to a buddy of mine until I noticed the price was nearly triple what I paid a year ago lol. If it wasn’t for that I’d recommend it more

This Nvme SSD is perfect for my PS5 it was super easy to install less than 10 minutes. And it is actually what it is titled I bought a 500gb and it was 500gb I was thinking it be like 465gb. Super fast speed transfers 160gb in around 2 minutes for the PS5 games. It also came with a free Mini-Screwdriver to install the drive to the PS5. Which honestly blew my mind away haha. Every freaking SSD vendor never include a Mini-Screw driver expecting you to have one already which I did but man for the price the speed and the FREE Mini-ScrewDriver included and with Prime One-day shipping. This SSD is easily the best I have ever bought I own a gaming PC and I highly recommend anyone buying this NVME SSD for more PS5 storage I now have more than double the storage. Here is hoping this SSD last for many more years to come.

Seems to be a great piece of kit. Large storage at a good price. Did not realise it was aimed for playstation 5's but fits into my pc mother board just fine. Very happy with this.
