Update. The seller replaced my bulb right away. Raised rating from 3 to 5 The bulbs that work were very easy to sync up to wifi and add to Google home. They work like they should and the app is easy to use as well. However, 1 of the 4 bulbs does not work. Tried several different light fixtures and nothing. So, 3 stars based on a 25% fail rate in my case.

I love these bulbs that sync with Alexa. I especially like the ability to set up my on and off schedule. No more worries about forgetting to turn the outside lights off or worrying about the darkness around my house when gone on vacation. I also appreciate the ability to pick what color I want my bulbs to display because yellow does not attract bugs. No more messy light fixtures or walls. The only confusion I had was figuring out the correct password to get connected. You have to use the Wi-Fi password. It’s so slick to monitor how the bulbs are operating by checking your app. I use my bulbs for outside lights, so be aware that Alexa may think she’s helping you out by turning off your bulbs because she didn’t think anyone was by them. When asked if the feedback was helpful, I told Alexa “No” and my previously set up schedule went back on with no more interruptions. Buy these bulbs

8/16/2021 Update - Revised from 2 to 4 stars I reached out to the company in regards to the disconnecting bulbs. They were very responsive and sent out two new bulbs to replace the problematic ones. I have no idea if they are built any differently, but I will hope that they work better than the ones they are replacing. Also, I have now set up all of the bulbs through Tuya V2 and HomeAssistant, and have no issues with control that way. The Tuya app works well enough for phone only usage. No issues with Alexa / Google voice control either. --- original review --- I'm got mixed feelings on these bulbs. I feel like this could be a winner if some things are addressed. I purchased these with my own cash (not a gift from anyone). I’ll update this review if I find that anything changes or new points are discovered. ------- The Good! ------- Packaging was nice - cardboard outer box with clamshell form fitting clear plastic shells on the bulbs inside of the box. No damage whatsoever to the bulbs, and the box could take a beating and still adequately protect the bulbs from what I can see. Setup for these was described easily in the pamphlet that was included. Make sure you are in a well lit room prior, as these go into their setup mode as soon as power is applied for the first time. This is a flashing of the bulb. If you have 4 in an overhead fixture (as I did) it makes things somewhat hard to read in the rave party that occurred. Set up was about the same as I have come to find with other Alexa integrated devices. I did need to sign up for an account to link these to my Alexa, but this didn't take much time. From what I have seen, these remember their last known good setting when power is applied after the setup is completed. You cannot use a wall dimmer (incandescent or LED dimmer) to control any brightness. These would be best suited for a switched ON/OFF circuit. The standalone app seems easy to use; however, I have not used it much outside of testing color combinations (interactive color wheel for color selection) and brightness testing (through Alexa integration, 1-100% brightness) I really enjoy the color temperature settings that these bulbs offer. Being able to select warm/cool white as desired by voice is a nice feature. These are very bright at 100% white. The “Color” settings are vibrant (Red, Blue, Green, etc.), but maybe not exactly as bright as I expected. Voice control is good for primary colors, as well as white modes (warm white/cool white). The color wheel in the app is easy to use, and bulbs offer quick feedback as soon as you lift your finger on the new color selection. The app is basic, but functional. The features for these bulbs are as follows - White Mode – selection of color temperature and brightness for the white light settings. This is what I use 99% of the time. Brightness and color temperature is selected with a slider, from 0-100% Colour Mode – Large color wheel for color selection, with sliders for saturation and brightness from 0-100% Scene Mode – Preset colors and light settings Night – very warm light, almost orange, using color LED’s, so not same brightness as normal lights. Looks to be reducing the blue light for aid in sleeping and comfort. Read – light blue/purple light Meeting – Red light. I’m guessing this is for outside of an office. I can’t imagine having a meeting in a red room, but to each their own. Leisure – I thought this was “Read” but it is a more vibrant blue/purple. There are four programmable presets to allow for more customization. These let you choose multiple colors to cycle through, speed of that color change, and the same brightness/temperature/saturation/color selections as before. Alexa integration was as expected with no major issues. I've been using these for a month strictly with my Echo Dot in my bedroom. I've only needed to repeat a command once (so far). Alexa integration for basic color settings works as I would expect (Alexa, lights to warm white, cool white, *specific color*) as well as dimming (Alexa, lights 25%-100%), but no chaining (Alexa, Warm White, 25%). I am not sure if other bulbs support better chaining of parameters,, but it hasn't bothered me. These bulbs report to support IFTTT and Google Assistant, as well as Tmall Genie and Rokid for integration, but I have not validated these claims. I do have some concerns, some of which have prompted this review. ------- The Bad! ------- I am finding that now, literally one day after my return window, lights are randomly disconnecting. All 4 lights are in same fixture, one to two bulbs are disconnecting at a time, seemingly randomly. I have needed to reset the lights from the light switch on the wall to get a connection again. I’ve got one bulb that is stuck on the previous setting (light blue), and hasn’t been able to reconnect as of yet. Bulbs are using software version 1.6.1 Another “annoyance” issue that has occurred since first use are flickering of other LED lights in the same circuit. I have a small chandelier in my dining area that is on the same breaker as my bedroom overhead lights. With these bulbs at a brightness of 1-99%, my led chandelier bulbs will flicker. At 100%, no flickering occurs. I am making a guess that the way these bulbs perform their dimming is causing electrical noise/voltage fluctuations on the circuit. I can’t say that this would/would not cause issues with other devices, since my overhead lights are on their own separate circuit. My “solution” for the flickering of my chandelier was to use a single incandescent bulb in the chandelier light fixture to smooth out the electrical fluctuations in the circuit. Not my favorite fix, but it worked for me. I did swap back to all incandescent bulbs in this fixture, and I did not notice any flickering either. This seems to only be an issue with other LED based bulbs on the same circuit. Audible noise can be heard from these bulbs when using a single one or two of these four lights in the same fixture with some bulbs being off and the others dimmed to any setting. I’m guessing that this noise is the electrical switching that is occurring internally to the bulbs to perform the dimming. --- Final Thoughts --- If the disconnects were resolved, I'd rate 4 stars maximum. Fix the flickering of other bulbs in the circuit, easy 5. I think these could be improved by changing the pairing/setup flashing to something less obnoxious. I’m not happy at the fact that these interfere with other bulbs in my house. Having to come up with a workaround works for me, but I would be wary if these were in a circuit with something more sensitive. I'll see if the manufacturer has a viable fix for the disconnects (and possibly the dimming issues), and will update this review accordingly. If I can't find a solution though for the disconnects, these are getting tossed and replaced with something else.

I finally replaced the last vestiges of my Ilumi mistake - I kickstarted them to get smart LED bulbs I could change colors on, but the promised Alexa integration never arrived and they were junk. These are the final ones to replace things in my hallway and the basement stairs. I only buy things that work with the smart life app since I just want one app to deal with now where possible. I have three other apps but won't do that moving forward. So these were seen instantly by the smart life app when I went to add them. Found, joined the network, renamed, and my Amazon Echo instantly was able to control all of them. Set up a group called "hallway" and all is good. Better brightness than I had expected, since these were replacing PAR 30 floods in cans in the ceiling of the hallway. So they aren't as bright as those were but still more than bright enough. No big delay when they get power, and the voice and app control works flawlessly so far. Love them and love the price compared to some of the other things I've bought in the past.

I was able to set up 2 out of 4 the first time and they worked for a while (I had them set to 3000 K), but then one day they both suddenly turned white. Then I wasn't able to control them with the app. So I tried to reset them (tried various on/off rhythms, power cycling) but the bulbs won't enter pairing mode. So I'm trapped with two solid white "dumb" bulbs. And then I tried the other 2 of 4, and they just don't turn on..... -.- very frustrated.

Purchased the 4 pack and upon receipt, bulbs were easy to install and set up. They are fairly bright and provide more light than the 65w I replaced. Would have rated higher, but one of the bulbs randomly and suddenly failed after less than 45 days. The failed bulb only comes on to dim mode. It will not accept commands from the app, nor will it accept a reset. Clearly, something in the electronics has failed. In fairness, just reached out to customer service, so we will see how they handle it. Bummer too because they are fairly decent lights.

The last set of GU24 color smartbulbs I purchased were consistently problematic, flickering and fading and overheating on a regular basis, so I waited a year to review these. The Smart Life control app is significantly better than I expected, and the bulbs have been rock-solid since install. Lack of integration with Philips Hue is a minor but not at all surprising disappointment; that said, they work just fine with Alexa (which is our primary interface anyway).

I was skeptical when I bought them because they were the cheapest ones I found and were some no-name chinese knockoff but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a good brand name because I'm not that into it. When I got them, they were super easy to program, came with their own app, and they're just really cool in general with all the different colors and dimming! I only review things if they're really good or really bad and these are really cool for the price! I don't know what sets them apart from the expensive brands, but I've had a lot of name brand LED's stop working after 6 months or a year instead of the 15 year lifespan they claim anyway. We'll see how long these last. If they stop working, I'll edit my post. In the mean time, highly recommended!

I have had these bulbs for less than 6 months and 2 of them have already stopped working. I've done all of the trouble shooting and it appears they were just duds. The box looked like it was previously opened upon arrival so I suspect the seller may have known about the issues with my specific bulbs. Also for context, the bulbs were in separate light fixtures that were rated for their use. The lights themselves when working weren't the best but served their purpose, the app they require to access their full functionality though, is a different story.

Edit: warm color LED flickers before staying on after 4 months of use. You can choose any color, any temperature of white light. Smartlife app works fine on Android, but I'm concerned about privacy. This bulb has a music dance mode which uses a built-in microphone. Overall I'm happy with these bulbs. GU24 is an odd size and shape, so buying smart bulbs didn't cost much more.
