This review is for the Two Tone / TruTone ESV Journaling Study Bible. This particular Bible I did return due to it not being brand new and already had some marking in it. Still the few days I had it I was able to determine that the soft leather cover was not firm enough for me. If your intent is to use it laying flat on a desk or table then you probably won't have any issues. Attempting to use it while in my hand the pages were bending too much for me and I would not consider trying to write in it like that. This is a personal taste so the end user will have to determine what they like. I did order the Black Hard Cover edition and have been happy with that. As for the content. There are enough reviews and YouTube videos out there for you to get a good idea of what the contents look like and how it compares to others, but let me add a few tidbits. Yes the main type face is readable, but the study notes and especially the cross references are potentially too small. I personally would love a large print version of this Bible. Increasing the typeface and number of pages would not negatively impact this Bible. The study notes are taken from the ESV Student Bible. I've not seen that in any review, but in the introduction material in the Bible it does state that is where the notes come from. So in essence you get a ESV Student Bible with space for notes. I do like the hard board slip case if you want to use it especially for the TruTone version. For me this is a great balance between having a Bible with enough notes to get started and enough space to add notes.

This was an excellent purchase. The Bible is beautiful and I love the notes. The notes are a condensed version of what is in the big ESV study Bible-obviously-which is why I bought it. It's a Bible that can easily be taken to church or when traveling. Print is small, but easy to read and the journaling space is generous. Very pleased.

This Bible is my all time favorite. It has plenty of note taking room and is very understandable. The print is perfect size, not to small and not too big. I can’t recommend it enough.

It's an absolutely beautiful bible! The leather is great quality, the pages are slightly thicker than most bibles and the added study notes offer a lot of knowledge. I do wish the font was larger.. that's my only dislike. But I absolutely recommend this version & book for someone looking to deepen their relationship with Christ

Great bible! Text is a little small but not too bad! I love the journaling margins on the side and the study bible portion that breaks it all down. The bible is very flimsy as the cover does not give much support, definitely recommend a case. Pages are pretty thin (which is typical of a bible) but these do seem to crease easier. Overall, pretty pleased and I know it will be a great addition to bible study!

10/10, realy cute. It has a string to mark the pave you're on and a decent amount of space for notes. Pages are super thin and easy to rip but it's sort of expected lol

The Bible is soft sided- like leather. It comes in a side-open box for shelf storage. I really appreciate the box. It's easy to pull the Bible out to read, while keeping it safe otherwise. I like the journaling part. It's lined for easy use. There are also some blank pages at the front and a page fof identification. The Bible I purchased was 2 columned but there are single column versions. The only thing I didn't consider was the print size, but magnifiers are available. I purchased ESV version but other translations are available. I chose ESV after researching translations. I used NIV before. (The Blue Letter Bible app allows side by side comparison.)I'm really happy with my purchase.
