I’ve been spending some serious time with the Enya X4 Pro lately, and honestly, it’s a weirdly impressive piece of gear. If you’re used to traditional wooden acoustics, it takes a second to wrap your head around, but it definitely solves a lot of common headaches. The biggest reason I looked into this was the carbon fiber build. I’m tired of babysitting humidifiers and worrying about cracks every time the weather shifts. This thing feels like a tank. You can leave it out on a stand in a dry room or take it outside, and the tuning barely budges. It’s a total "grab-and-go" guitar. That AcousticPlus Tech The built-in effects are the coolest part, even if they seem like a gimmick at first. There’s an actuator inside the body that vibrates the wood (well, the carbon) to create reverb and delay without being plugged into anything. It makes practicing on the couch way more fun and addictive How It Actually Sounds Is it going to sound like a vintage Martin? No. It’s a bit more crisp and bright. However, the bass is surprisingly punchy because of the bigger body size. It doesn't have a plasticky sound I was afraid of. The neck is super smooth. It’s got a slim, electric-like feel that makes it easy to play for a couple of hours without your hand cramping up. It’s very "space-age." AVOID: I've had TWO of these and both have an identical flaw. I've had a highly experienced luthier examine them both and the bridge is badly bonded to the body. On one of these he actually was able to slide a business card underneath by 2cm. He's stated it's almost certain the bridge would eventually lift off (which is what happened with the first guitar of theirs when the bridge just shot off). The company won't take their products back (no surprise) and I'm out of pocket by $600. Please note -I've been playing 40 years and play folk so, hardly rocking out with it. What really hurts is that it could have all been so different. I absolutely loved the reverb and sound as am v hard of hearing and so it was awesome for a while. Well, 18 months or so. All I ever wanted was one guitar that would work and last -and not to be gaslit by their customer service who've tried to assure me that the 1mm gap under the bridge is normal: I'm more inclined to trust the accomplished and respected luthier with 30 years experience who assures me that whether it's next week or next year or the year after that, the bridge will fail.

I had been interested in this Enya Carbon Fiber Acoustic Electric Guitar X4 Pro Mini AcousticPlus 36” 3/4-Sized Guitar for awhile but wanted to see if I could catch it on sale. When that happened here on Amazon, I jumped on it, and boy, I'm glad I did. I had it professionally set up, as I do with all my instruments. The sound is a bit different than a wooden acoustic, neither better nor worse, just not quite the same ... and I like it. The sustain is probably better than any of my other acoustic guitars, and I particularly enjoy the built in reverb. Since the top is carbon fiber and the rest synthetic, it is unaffected by the humidity or temperature, which is a big plus if you've ever had to adjust the truss rod on a wooden guitar when in a damp environment. The offset sound hole seems to project the sound to the player's ear better than the traditional center hole. The craftsmanship on this guitar is top notch, just as it is on my Enya uke. As far as size goes, I'm a big guy (6'4", 235), but playing a jumbo never felt comfortable for me. This 3/4 size acoustic Enya feels just right and does everything I want it to. With my electric guitars, I favor white, while my other acoustics are natural wood finish. This is my first black one and is a nice change. The included shiny black hard plastic plush case is exceptional, with detachable back straps, rubber legs that allow is to stand upright, on its back, and on its side and is easily worth $150+ by itself. Bottom line: I guess that the measure of my satisfaction with this wonderful guitar is that after owning it for awhile now, I have decided to find new homes for my (top brand names) wooden acoustic guitars. This one suits my need for an acoustic just fine and I suspect it will do the same for you.

And I do even more now after having this professionally setup! A brief story about how this came to be my greatest Amazon impulse purchase ever: One night, I fell asleep while watching television on my couch. My girlfriend woke me and told me to head up to bed, which I did. After two small flights of steps, I couldn't fall back asleep – so I did what probably many guitarists do in the same situation... watch guitar gear review videos. One of my favorite reviewers is based in Canada and the thumbnail image was him holding this guitar with the title something along the lines of "This affordable carbon fiber guitar sounds surprisingly good." I first became intrigued with carbon fiber guitars over 10 or so years ago when manufacturers began slowly introducing them to the market. There was one in particular by a startup in Vermont sporting a headless design and a daisy chain for backpacking. And it looked... unusual. Then there was a promo video showing hikers with this strapped to their backpacks without it being in a case. And in another scene, one of the hikers dunked it in a lake – for what reason I have no idea. (And in another scene, there was a view from the back of a topless woman jumping in the same lake. Certainly they tried appealing to as many senses as possible, but ultimately the point was to associate it with portability, imperviousness, and good times.) Anyway, back to *this* review video. "DB" from Canada did an excellent job highlighting that you get much more than the guitar. You get a fantastic hardshell case, a strap, an instrument cable, Allen wrench, strung with Elixir strings and even backstraps for the case – I really enjoy that last part! Then there was the emphasis on construction. Thus far, this guitar not only checked all the boxes... it checked more than were available. And the moment of truth – the tones. "DB" had this connected to a DI, and it sounded balanced, bright, and with great articulation. To me, it was very appealing. But he made one mistake – he claimed the guitar needed to be connected to an amp or mixing console for the effects. That's actually not the case. Then he announced the price... At that point, my eyes bulged out of my head and I sat up. I was no longer tired. I checked out two more review videos – both very well done and all three reviews were universal in their acclaim. One highlighted the onboard effects and demonstrated that an amp or mixing console *isn't* needed to incorporate the onboard chorus, delay, and reverb. From there, I went to Amazon. Indeed, the list price was $699 – but at the time, there was also a 10% coupon and I applied for the Amazon Visa which gave me an additional $60 off. The only frustrating part? I ordered this on the Sunday before July 4 here in the states (on a Tuesday) so I had to wait until Wednesday. That's torture for a guitarist! But hey, it was my own fault. The day of her arrival – the guitar and everything was very neatly and securely packed. The case exceeded my expectations; it's easily the best guitar case I've ever received as part of a package with a new guitar. After the unveiling, I did a few obligatory chord strums and riffs. The projection and brightness were very surprising. The size and weight are ideal for me, and the construction is truly something to be admired. I then utilized the onboard effects without plugging in. They are subtle, but noticeable, and sound very pleasing and adding a dimension to the tone. About the subtleness, I pointed out it a few days later to the drummer in my band, and when demonstrating he had a very surprised and impressed reaction. Right away he said he could definitely hear the reverb and was amazed an amp or outboard effects weren't needed. Finally I plugged this into my PA. I didn't need to add any effects from the mixer, except making use of the EQ and the mixer's compression. It took me very little time to dial in a great sounding tone. But it was here I experienced my first slight disappointment: the onboard delay is a bit overwhelming plugged in and there's no way to adjust the level. But that didn't sour me at all. The volume level is very helpful not only for setting but to bring up during solos in a duo or band setting. There is also a "Mic" level which utilizes an internal microphone to amplify the natural sound of the guitar and mix with the piezo pickup. In a live setting, I do notice the changes but not very much. An onboard tuner is also present and very easy to use and read. Best of all – rechargable lithium-ion battery for operation. A few days later, I noticed something that stood out more and more. When I strummed an F# major barre chord, I would notice a buzz/vibration within the tone. Strangely, it didn't happen with an F# minor – it was only when adding the major third. It also would variably occur with other chords, but not for an extended period. But here's where it's even more peculiar: no other player could hear it when I tried demonstrating it. At most, my girlfriend did but she mentioned that she wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't pointed it out. To me, it was getting to be like John Bonham's squeaky bass drum pedal in "Since I've Been Loving You" – louder each time it's heard. Admittedly, at this point I was considering pursuing an exchange or even sending it back... but I loved everything else about this guitar so much I didn't want to. Thankfully, fate intervened. One evening, I performed a gig and a multi-instrumentalist friend of mine was on bass guitar. At the end of the gig, I was telling him all about this and mentioned my frustration. Right away he said to me, "Well you know, I've been a guitar tech for 25 years! I'll take a look at it for you." The fact it was carbon fiber wasn't a deterrent. Two days later, I brought it over to him... and he couldn't hear the buzz/vibration! But he did point out that the low 'E' string was a bit high and suggested the action could probably come down a bit. The latter part is purely subjective though; many acoustic players prefer high action. He offered to lower it to electric guitar-like action and I agreed. Less than 24 hours later, he texted that it was done – and it plays like a dream now! My friend pointed out he played it to test out the adjustments he had made and mentioned "this is actually a really cool guitar". The buzz/vibration is now barely noticeable at best/worst to me. My girlfriend and I theorized the issue wasn't with the guitar... but our hearing. She has tubes in her ears and has had perforations in her eardrums. I do have some tinnitus from decades of electric guitar playing, concerts, and more. My 30 days on this aren't quite up yet... but I'm keeping it. Last year, I purchased an acoustic-electric made in Mexico model by one of the top two American guitar manufacturers. It's a model that's been a mover and shaker since it launched on the market – and I do love it. So do other players who've tried it out. The thing is... I think I really do like the Enya X4 Pro Mini even more. Two nights ago, I took both out with me to an acoustic duo gig. I played the Enya all night – it was just that comfortable and enjoyable. In addition to the setup, I put a set of .011 gauge Martin acoustic phosphor bronze strings on it and now it sounds warmer – but I did like the Elixirs that it came with. I can't wait to take this to more gigs, parties, and strumming on my porch at the end of the workday. Pros: – I think I pretty much covered them all here. – Carbon fiber construction may very well be a "set it and forget it" arrangement. Once you get the action to your liking, it's mostly likely not going anywhere regardless of climate and temperature changes. – The value of this guitar with its construction, playability, features, and everything else that's included is simply unbeatable. Cons: – As mentioned, the delay is overpowering in an acoustic amp or PA. – The print type and notches on the controls is a bit small, but then again there's not much space to work with. – The "Mic" level adjustment isn't as versatile as other acoustic-electric models I've tried/owned that have the same function. – The onboard tuner isn't the most accurate, but I imagine it's good enough for the vast majority of players who can use their ears in conjunction (myself included) What Would Be Nice To Have: – Stainless steel frets would make this an axe that would survive Armageddon and *possibly* Keith Richards. Thing is, I imagine the price point is just as much an attraction as everything else so adding those could take that away. On the other hand, a well-known international guitar manufacturer released a line of guitars (Y****a R*****r) which includes a carbon fiber reinforced neck and stainless steel frets – and the list price is only $100 more. So maybe it is do-able. Bottom Line: – I am truly thrilled that I bought this. And perhaps most importantly, I purchased this *with my own money*. I wasn't sent this by the manufacturer for promotional consideration, so everything I've written here is without any sort of inducement. This review is written for the benefit of other prospective purchasers in order for them to have an honest objective perspective.

I bought this guitar as a birthday gift for my spouse. I not only pulled off a big surprise and he loves the way this guitar plays and sounds. He liked the tone, right out of the box the tone sounded full and rich. Once plugged in, the tones were easy to adjust. He liked the weight, it is easy to wear while playing. The location of the sound hole is great for hearing what your audience hears. The guitar is stunningly beautiful and sounds amazing. We live in a harsh climate with big temperature and humidity swings. The carbon fiber body is immune to the impacts of the weather. The cost for the quality of the guitar is a great value.

At first very impressed with the Enya Pro, because it appeared to be a sturdy solid Carbon Fiber Guitar. The look is wonderful, and the guitar case is amazing. I did a lot of research before I purchased the Enya X4 Pro, watching many hours of videos of professional musicians highly recommend the Enya. Of course now I realize those U - Tube professional get paid for their endorsements. Here are the disadvantages: 1.) I play out doors for most my gigs, and quickly discovered any heat makes the Enya go out of turn quickly. I kmow the weather effects all guitars, but I have been playing my Ovation oitside for many gigs, and did not have this problem. 2.) The turner is crap. It does not turn the guitar properly, and now I use a Snark Turner to turn the Enya. 3.) Extremely heavy. The Enya is very heavy, and actually I am in pain while playing 30 minutes into my gigs, I did not realize how much Carbon Fiber weights. 4.) The sound is deep and bass heavy. I have to turn the treble all the way up to get the high end to respond. 5.) The battery power does not last long at all. Several times I could not finish my gig with the Enya, because the guitar's electronic bettery went dead. The Enya will not play, even unplugged when the battery is dead. The guitar needs to be plugged into an Amp, and does not have a good sound when not plugged in. Unfortunately I cannot return the guitar because I am past the return date. I do not recommend the Enja X4 PRO.

Check your top IMMEDIATELY upon getting your guitar BEFORE you tune it up... there should absolutely be no waves or dents ESPECIALLY NEAR THE BRIDGE. Tune it up and check for waves... there shouldn't be ANY. To check it: hold the guitar at eye level in such a way that you can see the actual reflection of something (a sunlit window works well) you have to look across the top of the guitar. If it's not flat send it back... dents dings and distortions in CF are a BAAAAD sign there's a tremendous amount of stress in that particular area... this isn't wood and that load will not balance over time. It's also a sign of internal reinforcements not being properly bonded to the top... I'm writing this because I'm furious about the $864 to my door guitar I recieved yesterday... I absolutely LOVE the guitar, the sound, the neck, everything is PERFECT on the one I recieved... but it's more warped and wrinkled across the top near the bridge than a side street in Cleveland... it's legitimately the worst factory blem I've ever seen escape ANY factory for ANY product let alone a guitar. I work with aircraft composites and am extremely familiar with carbon fiber... First off it's dirt cheap material, but the labor and tooling is quite expensive to do it properly... their advertisement of "cost savings" for the neck and body not being woven CF is absolutely BS. Good news is, the material the neck and body are made from is EXCELLENT. It's still a carbob composite, it's just not hand laid woven CF and or what most people would refer to as "carbon fiber"... it's extremely durable stuff and was used heavily in professional RC cars in the 90s before the newer advanced polymers took over. Never in my life did I expect it to sound and play like it does... and that's why I am so mad right now. They spent all of this time and money for extremely high dollar molds for the neck and body, and then slapped a sheet of woven CF plate on top with another flat sheet of partial reinforcements internally under the bridge... you can literally see the outline of internal reinforcements and where they were and were not properly bonded through the top of my guitar. This is what causes dents in CF. Improperly bonded parts not evenly distributing the load... I am also extremely unhappy with the fact that the CF top wasn't clear coated... I can see every single weave dimple in the right light. This is absolutely unacceptable quality of finish for ANY woven carbon fiber part or component in 2023. I don't work with flat sheet carbon often, but I've never seen sheet with a finish quality this dimpled in 20 years so I don't know what's going on here. I've also never seen this particular weave so it may be some oddball prepreg not made for structural applications... and the top of a guitar is EXTREMELY structural so idk. So yes... as of OCT 31 2023 Enya is sending out guitars that you can actually play out of the box and they sound AWESOME. I've played mine for about 8 hours now exactly as it came... it actually did "settle in" quite a bit and the tone got significantly more consistent and enjoyable on day two... If you're buying a CF guitar don't expect a goofy Martin boat paddle sound... and if you're a tone jockey that will wear special acoustic grade shoes just to make your guitar sound better... these aren't for you. The tone of an instrument comes from YOU... but That being said strings do matter, and I personally would throw a set of Martin Retros on this thing. I hate phosphor-bronze normally but these actually settled in and mellowed out overnight. The mids were pretty obnoxious yesterday, but I was already mad at the guitar for being a manufacturer defect... Either way... this is NOT worth ANYWHERE near $900 even if it was absolutely perfect. Most musicians aren't familiar with current manufacturing technology... but I'll put it this way. There is NO REASON This guitar should cost more than what they sell their small travel guitar for... the materials are dirt cheap and the labor is exactly the same between the two. There is almost zero skilled labor that goes into the manufacturing process used to make these guitars unlike wooden guitars... the other CF guitars are hand made/laid as well and that's where their $3500 price actually makes sense. This guitar is literally molded exactly like any other large hard plastic part, it's the exact same material many high temp automotive components are made of (intake manifolds being the most common.) With the case I feel $400 would be an acceptable price for the full sized model... the price difference between the travel guitar, 3/4 guitar, and this full size pro 4 are just insane considering there's absolutely no difference in the manufacturing process and a very small difference in the materials cost... This isn't a competitor to a Rainsong... and personally I'm kind of bitter about it being marketed as such. This isn't a carbon fiber guitar... it's a molded carbon composite guitar. Basically: if this manufacturer can get their quality control under control and price these things REASONABLY, there is no reason every single guitarist shouldn't have one... I absolutely expect to see more of this molded composite technology in musical instruments and I'm actually now excited about it. Thing this absolutely thunders down low... it's almost got a grand piano type of resonance. Sound is thicc... It's not just loud, but a very "large" sound that I've never heard another guitar make and this is all without any electronics. Haven't played another composite guitar other than an ovation. the battery is an 18650 and it's on the back of the pre amp on the inside... difficult to reach but mine just needed to be popped in. If you press the button and nothing happens... the battery needs to be popped in on one side. They likely shipped this way to keep the battery from draining during storage. ... not a bad a idea to pop it out for long term storage. You'll also have to remove the battery for airplane travel... the FAA don't play around with lithium batteries and they do prosecute if they catch you with one in your luggage So the battery is absolutely replaceable and VERY common... they really should have put an access panel or battery box like every other guitar with a battery. Good news is for gigs you could absolutely keep a spare on hand and awkwardly swap it if you had to... Summary: if you want to keep charging $900 delivered you actually are going to have to build a guitar that LOOKS like a $900 guitar. The feel and sound are there... and the case is actually pretty cool. The electronics are a big meh... but once I actually spent a few hours figuring out what the knobs actually did (they're "labeled" sort of) I was able to finally enjoy the effects... took a lot of time tinkering and playing "nothing else matters" 😆 Haven't plugged it in to anything yet because I've already told myself this thing is going back... but I've got a strong feeling it's going to sound extremely good through my normal recording gear which is why I bought it. Grand finale/final section i promise: I'll likely give them another year to figure it out and buy another in late 2024... I'm not a second chance kind of guy with instruments, but the fact Enya is actually actively working to improve these guitars and has excellent customer service from what I can gather, I can't help myself. I've got a local Enya dealer and I may just go buy one from them... I've got a feeling I personally got a dud (which should NEVER have left the factory). Had I bought this as known defect/blem model... I'd be over the moon right now and this would be a 5 star glowing review... I've bought MANY factory defect guitars over the years, but I also didn't pay full price. That's the issue here... it's an awesome guitar, but not $900 awesome. Yes, I could easily fix the issues with my guitar and make it look like what I expected... but I wasn't looking for a project, I was looking for a guitar.

Very impressed with this guitar.. for the price you can't Beat it.. it came with a beautiful hard case.. the packaging was amazing.. double boxed with Styrofoam to secure it from moving.. and a large plastic bag the case was in.. they even had the strings enveloped in paper to prevent any possible damage to the fretboard.... In the box it came with a quality guitar strap.. a quality guitar cord to plug it into an amp and a strap that connects to the guitar case so you can carry it over your shoulder... all very impressive so after I tuned it up using the onboard tuner to play it. First thing I noticed is the action at both ends.. the nut and the bridge were both high especially the bridge side.. the second thing I noticed was as nice as it sounded the guitar didn't have the sparkle and chime I am used to from elixir strings which made me feel like they must be their phosphor bronze strings.. so I checked the manual and they only had a reference number for the strings.. I googled the number and sure enough as I suspected they were the phosphor bronze strings... I continued to explore the sounds.. the effects.. both unplugged and plugged in.. I even used the onboard tuner to tune it up which worked perfectly.... The onboard effects are awesome.. it's even got an internal microphone which when blended with the piezo really adds to the richness of sound... So after exploring it a bit the first thing I did was took it into my shop.. lowered the action at both ends.. oh by the way the relief was perfect.. then after it was all dialed in I played it unplugged and plugged in.. it seemed to even improve the sound.. then I replaced the strings with the Elixir 80/20 Nanowebs and wow there was the sparkle, chime and shimmer that was missing.. I've been playing guitar for decades and for the price other than it needing a good setup I don't think you will find a better sounding guitar. I highly recommend buying one.. especially if you can get it on sale like I did for only $736.. it was only $825 after tax... Great deal ! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Strumento particolare, pur essendo un 3/4suona meglio di tante chitarre in legno 4/4. Certo come unica chitarra non la prenderei, ma valida alternativa per portare in giro anche nei live all aperto dopocena, essendo in carbonio molto stabile rispetto a strumenti in legno...custodia rigida di altissimo livello..devo provarla su impianto..ma per adesso contento

ここ数日じっくり弾き込んでいるんですが、これだけの機能とクオリティでこの価格設定はちょっとバグってるんじゃないかと思うくらい完成度高いです。同価格帯なら最強のギターではないだろうかって本気で思えちゃうんですよね。 ​本体のデザインがめちゃくちゃオシャレで、カーボン特有のハニカム柄と左上にズレたサウンドホールが個性的。このサウンドホールの場所が独特なせいで、いざ録音でマイキングしようとするとマイクの狙い所に迷ってちょっと手間取りました。 一緒についてくる専用のハードケースもすごく綺麗でパカッと開けた瞬間にテンション上がりました。ケースがかなり立派な分、手で持ち運ぶ時はズッシリ重さを感じるかも。 ​音質についてはカーボンのギターってどうなんだろうと少し疑っていた部分もあったものの、実際に弾いてみるとすごく自然な鳴りで良きです。生音でもしっかりボディ全体が響いてくれます。 側面のパネルで操作するコーラスやディレイ、リバーブの機能は、最初はただのおまけ程度だろうと思っていました。でもツマミを回してエフェクトをかけてみると、アンプ無しでも生音に直接エフェクトが乗ってかなり楽しい。チューナーも画面表示で直感的に分かりやすいし、ついつい時間を忘れていじっちゃいます。
