This flat iron is incredible, I love it, but I might have low standards. The flat iron I currently share (NOT this furiden one) has giant cracks in one of the plates from falling. This leads to us angling our hair and avoiding the spot as best we can, but its obviously caused damage. Its an old, mall-kiosk flat iron, very nice. Basic first: item arrived on time, clearly new, never used. Box is beautiful, comes with 2 clips, one glove, one little velvety bag, and a cheap rat tail. This new Furiden iron has amazed me. First of all ots beautiful and sleek looking. It has a lock, which I like. It has floating plates which I love, I dont think the description says it directly so I was worried because I only wanted it with the moving plates. Also, the thing heats up quick. Anecdotal evidence: I rotated the dial to turn this bad boy up to 355° when I was ready to try it out. After a second or two, I decided I wanted to check out the floating plates one last time (not even joking). I turned it off after the 2 seconds, went to poke at the plates, and immediately burned the mess out of myself. Maybe im dumb, Or maybe this thing heats up super fast. Maybe both. Anyways the thing heats up quick. Only downside is that i would ask for smaller intervals in the temperatures. The dial jumps up by about 40° each turn. Its not a big deal, im just picky. Flat iron moves through hair easy, not one snag ! My old one snagged a lot, this guy doesnt even get caught on the scraggly split ends I refuse to trim off. Also its beautiful. I thought it would be obnoxiously round, and too big to maneauver, with the dial constantly rolling. But its not, its awesome. The dial clicks into place. Cord is a fine length. No complaints. My hair is 3a/3b curly. Straightened hair very nicely very shiny. No snags. 2 passes max at 410. Also curled hair very well. Not really sure what the bad reviews are about, they really worried me, but with the easy return I figured I could just do that if it was that bad. But its not, I love it. Bottom line: This iron is pricey, but if youre still using your five year old, mall-kiosk, cracked flat iron, its time to switch and this is the one. I did NOT receive any discount or offer for this. I needed a new flat iron for my Ethnic hair, so I began combing through pages and pages of them on Amazon. (I’m black, by the way, and for those who go by hair texture, I have a combo of 3C and 4A hair that Loooooves to Loc if you LOOK at it the wrong way!) There were some decent choices, many of which I had seen before, but I wasn’t looking to spend over $50 (though I know you get what you pay for). I came across this one and looked at the price- more than $50. Hmmm.... I did, however, LOVE the look of the product. So I decided to head straight to the most important section of the page: the Photo reviews. I was actually shocked to see so many different hair types and textures represented! And the fact that their hair ALL looked amazing made the product look almost too good to be true! I mulled over the price again and decided to bite the bullet. I told my husband I was going to be spending a little more than expected because I HAD to try this product and see if it worked as well as everyone said. From the time I opened the Amazon box and saw the product box itself , I was blown away! The presentation of the product- from the box to the included accessories (hair clips, rat tail comb, heat glove)- was remarkable! The small, but significant details (locking clip, swivel cord, Velcro closure) made this product a huge step above the rest. But as they say, the proof is in the pudding.... Trying this hair straightener for the first time made my jaw drop! I literally jumped up and down, then called my husband to come see the beautiful straightening job/curls it had made! I thought I had owned quality straighteners BEFORE, but apparently not! This straightener is the first I’ve ever owned that allowed me to straighten my hair using UNDER 400 degree heat- and still look amazing!! Sleek Design- Doesn’t Pull Hair- Ability to use Less Heat- For what more could I ask?!? You NEED to purchase this straightener! Your will Hair thank you! Updated review: The seller contacted me and resolved my issue by giving a full refund. Though i didn't have good luck with this product this time, I will still purchase from them in the future because I know they will make it right if the product doesn't work properly. Original review: (1star) After receiving this hair straightener it worked as great as expected. But after 5 uses one of the plates stopped heating. I unfortunately didn't use it often enough so I've already passed the " return date". So I would just really like to get an exchange for one that isn't malfunctioning. I'm just very disappointed as I have purchased this same item in the past and it lasted me years before it started acting up ( my old one doesn't like to stay off unless unplugged) I am very happy with this hair straightener otherwise, IF IT DOESN'T MALFUNCTION. If the seller decides to do the right thing and offer me an exchange, I would happily change my review to 5 stars or more if i could. It just sucks spending hard earned money on something that doesn't work like you know it's supposed to.

I bought this in 2022, I’m coming back years later to leave a review because a friend of mine used my straightener (this straightener) a month ago and loved it. I sent her the link and she is buying it, I live by this straightener and one day when needed I will replace my current one with the same one. I have used this straighter for 4 years consistently and it is still going strong. I’d rate more than 5 stars if possible.

Years ago I bought one of those super pricey mall straighteners, and this honestly works so much better. First off, the packaging it comes in is great. It comes with several extras including a velvet storage bag (you can put it in as soon as it’s done so it doesn’t have to sit on the vanity forever to cool off), 2 large hair clips which I really needed, a rat-tail comb and gloves to protect your hands. As for the straightener itself, this thing is great. It’s a beautiful straightener with the color and the sleek design, and it heats up FAST! I could do my hair in literally seconds which is unbelievable! It gets SUPER hot-it goes up to 450 degrees. I have super thick, course hair and usually have to use the highest heat setting but I was able to get gorgeous perfect curls at only 350. I’m happy to be able to use less heat and save my hair from damage. I love that there is no “on off” switch-you just turn it to the temp you want to use and then unlock it. Finally, the round design makes it SO easy to do different styles-curls, waves, straight, or even a curl under (like a blowout). I used my traditional straightener to do curls quite a bit and it would always pull out a ton of my hair when I would twist it to curl. This straightener was so fast and easy and did no damage-in fact, my hair looked much shinier and better after I styled it. My curls have lasted for hours now without any product at all. I highly recommend this straightener, way better than others without the high price tag!

I've owned a Conair, Chi, and I-Tech straighter before, but this one is FABULOUS! A lot of research was done before I made the decision to purchase this one, and I feel like it paid off; my previous straightener was 4 years old, so it was about time. I received this new one today before I got home for my lunch break, so I had to go ahead and bust it in ;) There really is no tugging at all on your hair - so smooth, and I was shocked that it truly heats up in 15 seconds, as advertised! It also does something magical to my hair, like it adds more shine like no flat iron has done before. Mind you, my hair is very difficult to deal with. I am a Caucasian, but my hair has always been coarse, wavy, dry and thick! This iron worked beautifully on my hair. 10/10 would recommend! If it doesn't work the same after a few months, I'll be sure to update my review. As of today, I'm very happy! :) UPDATE - Wow, over a year later and I am still loving it! Makes straightening a breeze, and this is some of the best money I've spent. Still happy with this purchase! Don't bother wasting $200 on a Babyliss (or whatever it's called); this gets the job done with no issues!

For me, the flat iron was good but not great. For reference, I am AA with natural 4b hair. I usually wear my hair straight (flatiron about once every 2-3 weeks) so I will say my hair is "heat trained" and straightens easily (doesn't frizz in humidity and has smooth blowouts). My routine for straightening usually includes a double wash, deep conditioner, leave in milk, blow dry (dyson with comb attachment), heat protectant, flatiron on 410. Pros: I really like the locking feature. It makes the flatiron extremely easy to store. It also heats up really fast. The plates seem to glide over the hair nicely and don't snag (though it does pull a little at the ends). I was able to get the hair very straight with just one pass. Cons: Not sure what it is that causes this but this flat iron gives lots of flyaway that I don't normally see when I straighten. Any piece of hair slightly shorter then the rest sticks out (see pic from back). Because of this, even though the hair was straight, I went over 1 more pass with a different flatiron to reduce the flyaway (see pic from front). It also does not curl well. I wouldn't have been able to feather or flip well with this. I was able to do tight curls, but they fell fast. Also, I felt like 410 on this didn't work as well as on my other iron, so I had to increase the temp which I do not like. All in all, it isn't a bad iron but it isn't the best either. I wouldn't rebuy as to me there are other irons I prefer to use.
