I bought this grater somewhat begrudgingly as our previous tool, a less expensive Ekco, went missing. Turns out our daughter liked our old Ecko better than the one she was using. Fine, happy to help, but I couldn't find a reasonable replacement locally. So I bought this Microplane online, begrudgingly because of it's price, and the fact that I couldn't hold it my hands before buying it. Now that I have it, I feel that it's worth the extra money. It's nice and large, quite rigid, and amazingly sharp. It's as though they actually sharpen the grater openings instead of merely manufacturing it in a way that simply leaves an raw stamped edge. Everyone who's picked it up to use has actually commented that it seems more like a pro's tool than of a kitchen gadget. Our old Ecko was perfectly usable, but this is a better tool, and I'm happy to have it. Mine came with snap on plastic guard that protects fingers and preserves its sharpness in the drawer.

Love this microplane awesome quality, I purchased this one as a gift because the one I have is still going strong. I had it probably 4 years now and use it almost daily. Great product! Highly recommend!

Terrific grater, easy to use, safer than a box grater, and dishwasher safe. However, the "soft touch handle" falls off when the grater is about 3 years old. (This has happened to me with 2 graters.) The handle is made of two pieces. One piece is bonded to the grating surface, and the other covers the first piece. In time, the second piece detaches from the first. This sucks because the grating surface is still perfectly sharp and usable.

Grates fast. Course but great if you are melting cheese like I do and want speed. This is my go to grater. Quality is excellent.

Why does it like to hurt me so much? I'm afraid of my cheese grater now. The curved edge is not more effective and only lends to more pain. Brutally sharp and does the job though.

This is a really nice grater that works well and has a sturdy handle. It's very sharp!

Ottimo prodotto. Ne possiedo altri dello stesso marchio che è indispensabile in cucina per chi tiene ai prodotti di qualità. Grattugia a grana grossissima che permette diversi utilizzi. E' necessario fare attenzione alle lame perchè molto tagliente! Maneggevolissima e non scivola per il rinforzo di gomma sulla barra in fondo. I prodotti di questo marchio sono correttamente costosi, ma Amazon è concorrenziale anche per questo articolo. Consegna veloce.
