Hanes Mens Originals Sweat Shorts, Midweight Fleece Shorts with Pockets, 8"

Living in Florida I wear Fleece Shorts for many occasions like working around my home, working out, and to sleep in so when several pairs I have been wearing were wearing thin I decided to order some new ones. When I entered “large men's Fleece shorts” into the Amazon search engine you can only imagine the number of results it returned LoL. As I said up front, I wear these types of shorts in the heat of Florida, so I need many pairs to have a fresh pair after each activity. I admit I have a couple of the Name Brand Fleece Shorts to wear for special occasions (i.e. FLEX) but I needed ones that gave me the same quality but were a lot less expensive (i.e. Gave me real VALUE FOR MY Money). In fact on Amazon I can purchase 3(+) pairs of Hanes name brand shorts for the price I pay (and get the same quality) for just one pair of the other Nationally Known Brands. As soon as I saw that Hanes offered what I was looking for I honed in on them. After all Hanes is a long-standing Name Brand known for high quality garments. In fact, I had purchased Hanes Hoodies awhile back for the same reasons I am going to speak about in this review. When I clicked on the Hanes product, I was taken to the in-depth product description which showed me they offered these shorts in a large number of color choices. I immediately found and selected the Navy Pe Heather color to match my hoodies. I ordered 2 pairs and when they arrived, I immediately opened one pair to check for size and they fit perfectly. Next, I matched the grey color against my hoodies, and they were a perfect match. I love how stretchy they are while still being the soft fleece material I wanted. For me, the wearability is all about their softness which is why I wanted fleece. Finally, I had to have large pockets to fit my "Ultra" sized phone and these allowed me to fit my phone in them without any fear it would fall out. High Quality, real value for your money, what more to like??

These particular Hanes Sweat Shorts are excellent. Comfortable, with thick heavy duty, easy to tie drawstrings and the back pocket is indispensable! I have multiple pairs. Whether for lounging or walking or use at the gym the vast majority of everyone who buys these shorts are going to enjoy them. They run a little larger than some of the other Hanes shorts but not drastically so. Highly recommended.

Forever 21 had shorts like this. Being they closed, I needed another pair of sweat shorts. These don't disappoint and are around the same length, and the fabric is soft and comfy. They have withstood a bunch of washes so far, retaining their color...so they are indeed durable. The pockets are a little too long. It would be preferable to shorten them a little so the phone doesn't bounce around in them when running. They are above the knee shorts.

These run a bit small in the waist. I bought these for my son who is 5’11 133lbs. He typically wears a 30” waist. These were too small in a size small. I exchanged them for a medium. They are very well made, soft on the inside, and have a thick comfortable waistband. I managed to snag them on sale so it was an even better value.

These shorts are very nice. Heavy soft cotton, not really heavy sweats. Fit is good. Good size pockets. I also bought a pair of the Haynes Jersey pocket shorts for $2 less than these. Those were garbage. These here are great.

Great fit and great quality at a great price and I suspect that's why they're never in stock. I'll buy these as often as I can get them.

These are great comfy shorts for the price. I bought them in gray also. However, the black pair is leaving fuzz blobs everywhere. It's like they're just losing material as a walk around the house. I haven't washed them yet, so we'll see if they shrink and the material's weave potentially tightens up. But I've never really seen fleece material leave a trail of tears like this before, and every time I wear them I have to vacuum and sweep - so this is a first! 5 stars for comfy and value, 2 stars for durability so far... averaging out to 3 and might go down from there.

Great shorts and very comfortable fabric

I bought these for my fiancé, and he said they are the softest and best track shorts he’s had yet! He loves them. The length and shape of the shorts are really nice. The material is thick and quality, the fleece is soft, the drawstring is nice and thick so no worries of it ripping or thinning. Will be purchasing more. I actually recommended them to my girlfriends at work for their husbands and they plan to buy some too
