GRANVILLE GV0374 Silicone Sealant, 40 g, Clear

Good value, dedicated product from a reputable brand, for dealing with windscreen leaks. Used to fill gaps around the front windscreen gasket at top corners, easy to use. Results still awaited, hopefully correct leak source has been found. Granville also make power steering leak repair product, which works very well!

It does what it's supposed to do. Only problem is that after using some, the remainder started to cure inside the tube and broke through the cap.

I woke up with water in the footwell of my old Volvo. Was told it was probably due to windscreen seal wear. Was quotes £670 for a new seal and windscreen. Bought this sealant and put it on the passenger side of the windscreen around the edges and it’s done a perfect job and no more leaks. Very happy would recommend. Easy to apply.

Finally got round to using it, only to find that the nozzle attachment doesn't stay on, so whenever the tube is squeezed the silicone would pop the nozzle off making it unusable. It made messy work, but the silicon itself works great for the job.

Used to seal leak in car windscreen. Had no problems applying it as others seem to have done.

This is a very good sealant for filling gaps in metal, wood etc to fix leaks. It is a glue as well, though i myself have only used it to fill gaps rather than to stick things together. I have had problems in the past with the item drying up prematurely. I would never advise anyone to use the pointed top to pierce the tube as this tends to weaken and potentially damage the top letting air in. Apart from this an excellent product.

i m female///and I did this job myself. I stopped a water leak on my car windscreen and i m chuffed I found it easy to use (I did put on plastic gloves) the adhesive I chose is clear, you can buy black. I bought another tube for the future...just incase :)

Pensavo di acquistare un silicone specifico per uso automobilistico, in grado di incollare uno specchietto retrovisore alla sua relativa basetta in plastica e resistere a vibrazioni e sbalzi di temperatura. Invece: - la scritta sulla confezione riporta che è fatto per unire (BOND) e sigillare (SEAL) legno, vetro, metalli, gomma e plastiche. Sul retro c'è scritto che il prodotto è un siggilante ed adesivo multiuso. La risposta del servizio tecnico del produttore alla mia domanda specifica però è stata che TUTTA la loro linea di siliconi è fatta solo per SIGILLARE. Per UNIRE mi hanno consigliato di cercare un altro prodotto; - c'è scritto che resiste a temperature estreme, ma quali siano queste temperature non è specificato; - non c'è alcuna indicazione sulla composizione (se sia 100% silicone oppure contenga altri materiali); - non c'è indicazione del tempo di polimerizzazione: si parla solo di aspettare circa 15 minuti (un silicone impiega anche 24 ore per ogni millimetro di spessore prima di polimerizzare). CONCLUSIONI: Forse come sigillante potrà essere anche un buon prodotto (è Inglese), ma per uso adesivo è meglio rivolgersi ad altri prodotti specifici.
