Doesn't the air pressed go up the vent pipe instead of the clog (if the clog is past the split to the vent)?

Yes. You need to block the vent to avoid the pressure and water/muck coming out through the vent.

Yes, it comes with 1 battery. I ordered a couple of 2nd party additional batteries from Amazon, just in case.

Look for the balloon type. Granted this can get the job done,but it just a burst. Use the one that hooks up yo a garden hose that like a balloon. It'll be better

Works on toilets

One toilet in our house clogs really easily. Most plumbers charge $150 to $230 per trip. Last time it clogged I bought this instead. Cleared the clog in seconds.
