Reduces the X direction travel.
It gives a useful bit of Z axis range, but the trade off is reduced X axis range. Additionally I need to improvise a new mounting for one of the X axis limit switches. I installed this as part of an upgrade from a 3018 to a 3040, so it didn't matter too much. It's a better quality part than the original and it was easy to install. Maybe 3.5*.

Not compatible with prover 3018 v2
It solidly made but is awful for the prover 3018 V2. It does not trigger the X limit switch so can't home. It also doesn't have space for the spindle nut so you lose about 25mm of x travel. It talks about greater z axis height which is sorely needed for the 3018 but the top of this assembly is at exactly the same height as the stock one so you can travel down further (which isn't required at all) but can't go higher. In fact, because of the way the assembly is built, you actually need to use thinner stock. All in all, a hard pass if you have a prover 3018 v2

Ürün kalitesi mükemmel, cnc 3018'in kırılan Z ekseni yerine taktım. Sadece Z ekseninde ters yönde hareket ediyordu, bu durumu makinenin ayarlarından yönünü değiştirerek düzelttim. Limit anahtarının kart bağlantısının ters olduğunu düşünüyorum ama kartın detaylı dökümanına bakmadığım için bu durum net değil. Onun dışında başka bir problem görünmüyor. Düzeltme: Limit anahtar bağlantısı doğru. Keşke Z eksenindekine benzer şekilde X ekseni için de limit anahtar bağlantısı taşıyıcı üzerinde yer alsaydı çok daha işlevsel bir ürün haline gelirdi. Bir başka önemli nokta; motor tutucu üzerinde lazer kafa bağlantısı da yapmak isterseniz 40x40'lık lazerler için uygun değil. Bu durumu bilmenizde fayda var. Bağlantı için 3D yazıcıda bir adaptör basmanız gerekiyor.

Z Axis limit switches fail on 3018 prover v2. EDIT: ( because iam an idiot )
there's no documentation on these limit switches, both Z axis limit switch inputs are in parallel and if either switch is tripped, both LEDs light. That means the Z Axis fails to reset, as it just stops once the endstop is hit. UPDATE: BECAUSE IAM A MORON! I did build a enclosure for the 3018 prover v2 and mounted the control board on the outside and had to extend the cables. The Stock Z head on the 3018 prover v2 has the Z endstop cable soldered to the PCB while the Aluminium head has a connector. I failed to pay attention correctly and assembled the connector with wrong polarity thus the Z endstop couldnt have worked. BIG suprise here is that the control board of the 3018 prover v2 as well as the Z endstop PCB on the aluminium head didnt break when 12V was connected to GND and the Signal pin. normally i would expect the microcontroler to to be destroyed instantly but it seems they designed the PCB quite good. Short: Good and required upgrade to mill aluminium. Noise from vibration also a lot reduced! I feel ashamed that i forgot to change the former 1 star review and am only now changing it after they reminded me with offering a full refund which i will not claim. Other then that having now tested the aluminium head: With the Stock one the plastic thus the whole assembly gets bent bordering on breaking when the end mill bit gets stuck for a moment. I was only able to mill aluminium at 0.1-0.2 mm depth and max 1mm thickness per pass at about 300mm/min with their 1/8' Shank Spiral Upcut Single 1 Flute End Mill and still have the bit get stuck and jump from time to time. Each time it jumps/ gets stuck the assembly bending would cause the Z guide rails left and right to the leadscrew to jump out of their socket. Now with the aluminium head i can actually use some 6mm 4 flute HPM end mill bits and cut stable up to 1 mm depth and 1 mm thickness at 500mm/min without jumping or the bit getting stuck. Though thats really the total edge of whats possible. When the mill gets stuck now its the X guide rails that are clearly not solid enough. But for a machine that cheap iam quite happy with how its now working. The Aluminium head also reduces the noise from vibration of the spindle quite a lot. I also tried to mill some S235JR steel with it, but for this the prover just isnt rigid enough and even trying 0.01mm at 20mm/min makes the mill get stuck / jump. Though i cant tell for sure if having a slower but more powerful motor would help here, but i think the machine frame would probably break.

ステッピングモータ動かない → ピン変更で動いた
モーター後部のダイヤルを動かしてもZ軸の動きが渋いのでモーター部を切り離して制御しても動かない。純正のステッピングモータは動作するので新しいモーターに問題があると思う。(スクリューをしゅどおうで回しても渋いので組み込み精度か部品精度に問題ある?) これに合わせてスピンドルモータも購入してるので動作品と交換してもらいたい 追記: モータドライバA4988を使用する場合、ピンの3と4を入れ替えることでステッピングモータが動きました。(モータ側のピン配置がPROになって変わっていたため)
