My First Chinese New Year (My First Holiday) Paperback – Picture Book, 11 Dec. 2012

I bought this book to teach Early Years about Chinese New Year. It was well received by the children and taught them about preparing for the lunar new year. Beautiful condition and a lovely story, very entertaining. :)

Easy book for children to understand. All about the Chinese new year

I choose this book for the pre school children in the day nursery where I work. It was totally appropriate for them and explained what chinese new year was. They loved it.

Lovely little book to help teach the little ones about other cultures and festivals. Great colourful illustrations held children's interest

We got this book for our daughter and it worked out pretty well and she got the idea of Chinese lantern and then grabbed some video from YouTube about making it. So she went to her class and teach her classmates to make it too. This book also touches on other Chinese new year traditions as well though some of them are not necessarily accurate but good for small kids.

Read this book to children from 3 to 6 years old and they loved it. Easy to understand, nice illustrations.
