Sunny Health & Fitness Smart Recumbent Cross Trainer with Arm Exerciser

I used a much more upscale machine during my cardiac rehab and wanted one like it at home that didn't cost $12,000 so I could split exercise time between it and our treadmill. I wanted to spend less than $1,000 and after reading reviews and looking locally selected this one. After nearly five weeks, using it 4-5 times a week I am very pleased with it. It went together fairly easily. The assembly instructions were overall very good. The hardware package was exceptional as each assembly step was packaged and labeled separately on a large card. Three small boxes held other larger components that were also labeled. Right and Left handed parts were labeled. The only things I would note on assembly is that the diagrams in the directions are small and I had to blow them up with my phone. I found the bolts and washers that hold the stem to the frame that the monitor sets on loose in the bottom of the shipping container for some reason. Someone should have reminded me that just like a bicycle, the pedals have one bolt that is reverse threaded (the left). I wasted some time trying to thread it on the wrong way. Besides that the only really tricky part was attaching the cable that adjusts the tension settings. This is the only place where the instructions could have been clearer. They include tools to assemble and I mostly used them, though I did use a crescent wrench and a channel locks pliers. If you don't have these the included tools work well enough. Beyond these things the monitor is battery powered. As soon as you begin pedaling it comes to life. I'm waiting to see how long the AA batteries that are included last. I am very pleased so far and I am using it regularly. It has relieved the monotony of time spent only on the treadmill. The advantage of this over a recumbent bike is that the load can be shared by both arms and legs. AT times I rest my legs and let the arms do all the work. It seems well constructed and fit together without any real issues. So far, so good. I like it a lot.

This exercise bike is super sturdy and comfortable. Putting it together, took a while, but all the pieces were there and the instructions were reasonable. I could imagine some people struggling with a couple of parts so be patient with yourself when you are putting it together.

This machine is well designed and built, except for the control unit, which is a bit cheesy. I did not give it 5 stars because the instruction manual that came with the unit was practically useless and the control unit is somewhat outdated with an LCD display that has no backlighting. The manual only shows a few details of just the first assembly step out of 6 or 7, and the drawing is so small I had to enlarge it with my phone to view it. I went to the Sunny Health and Fitness website, found the exact product and fortunately they had a manual to download that had all the required pages. But this manual just provided the missing additional pages with all the steps again with tiny pictures and very poor drawings of what pieces went where. The hardware came bubble wrapped on a piece of cardboard that somewhat identified each of the many pieces of hardware necessary to assemble the product, and unless you are handy with mechanical things, it is very difficult to figure out what goes where and in which direction. This thing seems like a really nice machine, and even though I have not yet started to use it, I would say it is a solid product. But the assembly manual sucks. It really deserves something better with good illustrations in detail and better identification of the various parts. They do have an AI support chat-bot that is not very good, and a support email and phone number as well as the website with the complete manual. This brings it back to 4 stars. I recommend this unit for its price and good design. The control unit should be updated to modern electronics standards (a better display and setup buttons). If they do this and provide a better assembly manual it would well deserve 5 stars.

I like the recumbent elliptical. Very comfortable on my back & hips. Very quiet machine & not as large as I envisioned. Good price when compared to other machines like this. The directions for assembly were awful, very hard to follow. Did better when we switched over to online directions.

I am happy with it. I don’t use all of the computerized options for different programs, so I can’t really comment on their effectiveness. It is easy to use and accomplished what I wanted. I paid for on-site assembly, and I felt it was well worth the price. I normally put things together myself, but those things, like furniture, don’t have working parts. Given the number of working parts involved in this, I wanted someone else to make sure that everything was working as it should be.

This item is NOT especially easy to assemble. It took me and two talented friends 3.5 hours to get it together. The instructions were very clear and it was very nice that all the many parts were clearly packaged by step. And, it works great. Assembled it in one room. Wheeled it without too much trouble into another when the mat it was to rest on arrived. Arrived in TWO DAYS! So, not much use yet, but it fits OK in the family room where it is more likely to be used, and doesn't take up nearly as much space as I'd feared. They say I have 90 days to return it for whatever reason. But, I can't quite figure out what would be a reason to try and unassemble this thing and get it to fit in the skinny box in which it arrived. I'm glad we like it! Recommended as long as you have a friend (or better two) who can help put it together.

I had my sons remove all of the parts from the extremely large box, and the box was ripped into smaller pieces and taken to the dump, it was too large to keep. It took me weeks to put the bike together, I followed every step in the directions and the last thing to do is to attach seat to main base and the piece is supposed to be bolted to base with extra large bolts and they are placed in pre drilled holes, there was a little pin hole but it was supposed to be a large mm hole. There was no way to attach the seat and then we noticed that the bolts holding the pedals worked loose constantly just turning them. I couldn't ride the bike or use it at all! I called Sunny many times with no response to fix the problem. I could return the bike if I disassembled it and repacked it in the original box! That was the only way to return! I tried contacting a representative from Sunny so many times over probably 6 to 9 months with no response. I sent email with no response. I paid over $350.00 and got a piece of junk!!! It sets in the garage, it is garbage! Don't waste your money

66 years old and needed to get movement. I tried 2 other machine THEN I ordered this one. Exactly what I needed. Paddles instead of pedals and the seat adjustment and seat are so comfortable. I love this machine. Prepping for knees surgery so my knees can’t do a 45 degree leg position. Hubby put it together in 3 hours. So happy with my purchase to get me more in shape and great price as well

Great machine. Took about 3hrs for me to put together on my own (62yr old female). All components including the spanner’s etc were complete and well set out on a card and diagrams in instructions. When all set up it did have a squeak, but after reading other reviews I tightened all screws and bolts and no noise at all. Very smooth movement with very little noise. All in all I am very happy with this machine, it does me brilliantly and I am using the Sunny app for workouts which I am starting as a beginner and working through them all, the app takes into account your height and weight and calculates exact calories used etc at the end of the workout. I would recommend this machine, it is very comfortable to use as it is a recumbent and safer for backs or for people with health problems trying to do a bit of aerobic movement.

Sehr gutes und leises Gerät.Preis Leistungsverzeichnis passt.Wartezeit war statt 6 Monate dann doch nur 3 Monate.Das Warten hat sich aber definitiv gelohnt,weil ich in der Preisklasse für Ganzkörpertraining nichts Vergleichbares gefunden habe.
